I did that previously. The check is printing with the original check date. This is not good, since the bank will not cash/deposit a check that is over 6 months old.

Let me share with you an alternative step so you can cash out your check.
Since we can't modify the date of your old paychecks in QuickBooks, you can create a temporary unscheduled paycheck instead. You'll need to print and use it just to get the money from your bank. After that, delete it so it won't be counted in your records.
