I'm here to ensure you'll be able to change federal tax info, @info-tfrauto-com.
Sometimes, the stored cache can cause unusual browser behavior. That could be the reason why you're experiencing the said issue. To check, I'd recommend accessing your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account in a private or incognito window. From there, update your employee's federal info. This way, we can also see if this is a browser cache issue.
To open a private browser, you can refer to these keyboard shortcuts depending on the browser you're using:
- Ctrl + Shift + P (Mozilla Firefox & Microsoft Edge browser)
- Ctrl + Shift + N (Google Chrome browser)
- Command + Shift + N (Safari browser)
To change your employee's federal information, follow these steps:
- On your QBO account, go to the Payroll menu and select Employees.
- Locate and click the name of the employee.
- Click the Pencil icon beside Pay.
- Go to Step2 or the part where the employee's withholding or W4 are set up. Then, click the Pencil icon underneath it.
- Scroll down to Federal withholding and click the link for Need a blank W-4 form.
- Enter the correct information.
- Click Save.
