Hi there, I hope someone can help me with this. I pay the annual fee for QB Desktop payroll & have had notice it will be auto debited in July 2021 to continue service.
I purchased QB Desktop Pro 2021 in May 2021 which automatically came with 12 months' enhanced payroll so I don't need to pay the annual fee due in July.
I've read how to cancel your subscription in your system but am concerned if I do that it will cancel the enhanced payroll I already have in the software I purchased.
Can someone advise on how best to cancel that auto payment with QB in July without affecting my current enhanced payroll please?

Thanks Mich for reaching out to me but that does not solve the issue. I don't want to cancel auto payments for a customer. I want to cancel my own payment for QB desk payroll which is scheduled to be debited on my company credit card in July. I don't need this service now as I have upgraded QB & payroll came with it automatically as part of the package for 12 months. I need to know how to make sure that payment is not debited from my account & not screw up my payroll service I have in place as part of the QB desktop pro package I purchased last month. If someone can tell me how to do that I would appreciate it.

Did you ever get an answer to this, because I'm in the same boat. I don't want to lose the ability to generate W-2's, 941 forms, etc. for employees I already paid on QB, but I don't want another year's subscription.
Welcome back to the QuickBooks Community, Kenneth in AK. Providing you some idea of what will happen to your Payroll account if you cancel it is my priority. With this, I'll ensure that your subscription stays up to date and accurate.
When you cancel your subscription in QuickBooks Desktop, you can still access and generate the filed forms. However, you will no longer be able to get security updates, use online services, or file W-2s or 941 forms. It means you'll need a current payroll subscription to manage your tax forms; otherwise, you'll only be able to utilize the software for manual tracking and data storage.
On the other hand, to ensure you can cancel the QuickBooks Desktop payroll subscription without affecting the other one, I recommend contacting our QuickBooks Payroll Team. They'll have the tools to check your account and help you deactivate your subscription and to keep your features working accurately.
Lastly, you can refer to this article that provides detailed information about QuickBooks Desktop cancelation policies: QuickBooks Desktop cancelation policies.
