Hi there, mistymossy. Thanks for getting back to the thread.

James provided you with the correct information. Even though PA changed the website that handles payments, it will proceed in the same manner as long as you have the same account number from the old (PA e-tides) to the new (myPATH).

On the other hand, if you use a different account number, you need to contact your state agency for confirmation. You can add or change another payroll state account number in QuickBooks Online once it has been confirmed. Please contact us if you need assistance changing your state account number.

Learn how to set up a direct deposit and pay your employees in this article: Set up your company payroll for direct deposit. This will minimize the need to pay employees with paper checks.

In regards to the migration, do I need to set up a MyPath account? I already have E-Tides account and the account number would remain the same.

Thanks for joining the thread, @Steph47.

Allow me to share my insights about migrating tax agencies in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

Yes, it's required that business taxpayers register their accounts in myPATH since existing e-TIDES usernames and passwords will not be converted there.

For further assistance migrating from e-TIDES to myPATH, I suggest consulting your PA tax agency.

Additionally, QuickBooks Online (QBO) has the feature to automatically do the sales tax calculation for your invoices and receipts. This way, you can file on time and avoid paying extra fees.

Feel free to come back to this thread if you have additional questions about taxes in QBO. The Community is always available to answer them. Stay safe!

This is NOT true.  I filed 3 returns through Quickbooks in December and the deposits were never taken out of my bank account.  Even though Quickbooks says the "agency accepted", the amounts are not credited to E-tides or myPATH.  I had to manually submit through myPATH.  I would recommend all payroll subscribers to check their bank accounts to see if the payments actually processed.  Quickbooks rep says everything is fine on their end and myPATH says to make your filings through their web-site.  Good grief, why am I paying an astronomical amount to QB Payroll service? Let me add that my account number is exactly the same in E-tides and myPATH.  Their was a letter waiting for me in myPATH that stated I had an invalid bank account...that account has been the same for the last 25 years!
