I am unable to login to Workforce from QuickBooks Desktop. When I bring up the "Manage Payroll Cloud Services" interface, type in my user and password, and click the "sign-in" button, the button depresses, but nothing ever happens. Attempting one of the workarounds from the links on the main window (reset password, etc.) also goes nowhere. I know the web service for Workforce that connects QB Desktop to the cloud is making a connection, but it appears the authentication is failing.
I have had this problem for over a year. I run a payroll service and have well over a hundred QB company files, a good portion with Workforce enabled. NONE OF THEM WORK AND ALL HAVE THE SAME ISSUE. This is also true across multiple pc's and admin logins on the various companies. I have called and worked with support numerous times and never have they previously heard of this issue.
Anyone else having this issue, or, even better, have a solution?
This isn't the kind of experience we want you to have, Starrdaark.
I'm here to help you log in to your Workforce account via QuickBooks Desktop.
Please ensure you're signed in as QuickBooks and Workforce master admin to successfully manage the QuickBooks Workforce interface. Also, your QuickBooks Desktop must have the latest release and payroll update to prevent issues when accessing your Workforce account.
The login credential you've used might not have enough permission that's why nothing happens when you hit the Sign-in button. I recommend reaching out to our support again. They have the tools to pull up your account and double-check your login information.
You may follow these steps to reach them:

While I am not directly disputing correct permissions might be the culprit, if that is true, then it means unauthorized changes to permissions were performed on not only my admin account, but on 2 others as well. All three of our "in-use" admin logins (cloud service admins) worked for a long time without issue. Then suddenly none of them work across 3 different network computers and about 45 QuickBooks company files.
However, I will bite the bitter, bitter bullet and spend an afternoon (again) on the phone with the poorly trained tier 1 tech staff in case I am fortunate enough to get a veteran call center rep that is competent enough to not need his hand held for every potential step and has dealt with this before...it is possible.
I will post back once my support call is complete.
I have a similar issue where I hit the log in and my screen starts changing like it usually did but then it goes right back to the sign in window.
Thank you for joining the thread and sharing your concern, @Precision Tree. I'll route you to the support available to investigate this issue further.
This isn't the experience we want you to have when logging in to your Workforce account through QuickBooks Desktop.
As provided by my colleague Giovann_G above, this could be because the login credentials you used don't have enough access. To double-check your login information in a safe environment, I recommend reaching out to our QuickBooks Desktop Payroll Support team to help you find a potential solution.

Jumping in to help you send an invite to your employees, S Humphries.
Allow to share the steps on how you can resolve non-responding web pages in QuickBooks Desktop.
First, make sure that your QuickBooks is on the latest maintenance release. Use this article as a guide: Update QuickBooks Desktop to the Latest Release.
Second, you may also need to change the settings for your firewall or security software. There might be something in your internet or firewall settings that's causing the page to freeze.
Lastly, you can use the QuickBooks Tool Hub. This resolves some of the most common program and file issues in the program. Here's how:
Please check out this article for additional details: Fix Common Problems and Errors With the QuickBooks Desktop Tool Hub.
After that, check if you can already access the Workforce page.
