In the payroll preview stage can you change from paper check to direct deposit?
Solved! Go to Solution.
You do not have to delete the paycheck. Just open the paycheck and go to "Paycheck details" and check the "Use Direct Deposit" box. It will zero out the check to be printed and you will have to send the paycheck information to Intuit as you usually do for other direct deposit checks.
Hi - I have a question regarding this....so we just ran payroll for the first time. I wanted to direct deposit the check into our personal checking account. Somehow each time I checked the Use Direct Deposit it took me to the screen where you authorize your company checking account to be used for direct deposit. This screen always said Confirmation at the top or Done at the bottom like the account was authorized and ready to go.
What am I missing?? I think I have set up my husband's bank information when I did the Payroll Setup.
Now our QB balance has been debited for his pay check, however, I do not have the QB checks to print and the direct deposit did not work....so I guess for this check I will just write him a check from our company check book and try next month? Please help....I guess my question is I tried what you suggested below....but it didn't go to that screen where Intuit would process it.
I appreciate the complete details about our concern, @ACA1.
You can check the status of a direct deposit paycheck that you've created on your end.
To learn more about what you can and can't change on a paycheck, you read through this article: Edit or delete paychecks in Online Payroll.

Meanwhile, I'd recommend contacting our Payroll Support Team. A specialist will be able to look up your account in a secure environment. They also have the tool to verify the status of your direct deposit payroll.

I tried this and it does not zero it out. When I unlock net pay, and check direct deposit, then OK - It does nothing - just reverts back to original check.
