Pay with direct deposit

Hi there, @Tu Tu.

There's a community dedicated to developers and integrating other websites with QuickBooks. I recommend that you sign up and post this question to our separate online forum called Intuit Developer Community.

This site contains resources for software development, as well as the ability to ask fellow developers questions. Our Intuit Developer can provide you further details on how to develop or integrate paying contractors with a direct deposit via API.

 Here's how:

  1. Go to this link: https://help.developer.intuit.com/s/.
  2. Choose QuickBooks Online under What do you need help with?
  3. Click Ask a Question
  4. Log into your existing Intuit Developer Account or create a new one.
  5. Enter your concern.
  6. Click Ask

Additionally, you can always utilize the API Docs & Tools and Blog menu on the Intuit Developer's page. From there, you can check out the latest feature added to the application.

Please post again or leave a comment on this thread should you have any additional questions or concerns. I'm always here to answer them. Take good care!

Pay with direct deposit

Yes, Tu Tu. You can pay your contractor through Direct Deposit. Let me share how it works.

You just need to have an active payroll subscription to have this feature. If you have, you'll have to set up your contractors for Direct Deposit. Here's how:

  1. Click Payroll.
  2. Go to the Contractors tab.
  3. Select the contactor, then click Bank account.
  4. Enter the banking info, then click Save

Although, we're unable to create a recurring payment from it. You'll have to select Pay with direct deposit manually if you'll record a payment for your contractor.

Let me also share this article as a future reference: Set up and manage your direct deposit for contractors.

Feel free to click the Reply button if you have other concerns. We're one post away. Take care!

Thanks Joesem,

I have additional concern that, with "pay with direct deposit" to contractor transaction, could we create recurring payment for that in Quickbook online UI? If yes, could you help to guide me?

Pay with direct deposit

Is it still the case that Quickbooks Online will not create an automatic direct deposit to a contractor?

I'm here to share some details about paying your vendor through direct deposit, usercare.

Once you have an active payroll subscription, you can set up your direct deposit.

Yes, when paying your contactor using direct deposit, you'll have to do this manually in QuickBooks. For more details, please see this article: Pay a Contractor with Direct Deposit.

I've also included an article that'll help you make sure you've entered your contractor's bank account details: Set up and Manage Direct Deposit for your Contractors.

I'm only a post away if you need more help in managing your contactor's direct deposit. It's always my pleasure to help you out again.

Soo... if I read through your reply, I have to infer my answer.

"you'll have to do this manually"

Why not just say "no, quickbooks cannot auto-direct deposit contractors"

Offering that you're "only a post away" doesn't help when the answers are not clear.

I did all that and it give me a message that says:  Something does not look right.  Please wait a moment and try again.  I have tried several times and still get that message.
