I’m new accountant for 1 client. Last person processed the payroll. But employee hasn’t been paid. He is saying the PIN is invalid & client needs to get new etc. how do I verify what the issue is & resolution
I want to ensure you can process payroll successfully, @awan786.
The invalid error message usually happens when sending payroll or accessing the Payroll Tax Center.
To resolve this, I recommend checking that you have entered the correct pin. It must be 8-12 characters long and include at least one letter and one number. And special characters are not allowed. But if you've entered the incorrect pin multiple times, wait 15 minutes and reenter the correct pin.
However, if you lost or forgotten your pin, I suggest changing your pin. Once everything is working fine, create and run payroll.
In case you'd want to run and customize payroll reports in QuickBooks Desktop in the future, you can check out this article for more guidance: Customize payroll and employee reports.
