To ensure that I'm on the same page, may I know if you're getting some error messages when changing the company name? Any additional information will help me provide the best resolution.
In the meantime, try logging into your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account using a private browser (incognito). There are times that the browser is full of frequently accessed page resources, causing some unusual responses.
Here's how:
Once signed in, try to change the company name again to double-check.
If it works, return to your default browser and perform a clear cache. Every so often the cache becomes overwhelmed with older data which can potentially cause viewing and performance issues. Clearing it will refresh the system, and you'll be able to work with a clean slate. However, if the issue persists, try using other supported browsers.

I am getting this message. An application error has occurred while processing your request : -70000
I also tried logging in with a private browser like you recommended and I still get this message,

At this time, we have an on-going issue where users, like you, receive the error message saying An application error has occurred while processing your request with error code upon updating your company settings.
Rest assured that we've already informed our engineering team and they're diligently working in all hands to fix this as soon as possible.

How is this still an issue after this many years? I'm seeing it now, whenever I try to change ANY company information I get the error. I've tried clearing cache, incognito, different browsers etc. Please advise asap!
