The company address has been updated under the gear icon/company tab but is still showing the old address on employee pay stubs, how do I correct this?

Hello @jtbuerkley,

Thanks for posting in the Community. I'd be glad to help you with updating the company address on your employee pay stubs.

The address that's listed on the paystub is pulled from the Work Location that's associated with the employee. You can update the Work Location with the following steps:

  1. Select the Gear icon.
  2. Click Payroll Settings.
  3. Select Work Locations under Business Information.
  4. Click on the address of the Work Location.
  5. Update the Work Location with the new address and click Save.

If you're changing the address to a different state, you will need to add a new location and contact Payroll Support. For additional information on this, please see the following article: How Do I Change My Primary State?.

That's got it. I'm confident that these resources will get you on track and the address updated on paystubs. Granted, I'm the type that's usually too excited to be cashing a check to even look at addresses ;).

Before I wrap this response up, I'd like to take a moment to congratulate you on the change of venue for your business.

Please let me know if I can be of additional assistance. Cheering you and your business to continued prosperity.

I have this problem too. The work location for each employee has been updated to the new address, but the old address is still displayed on the pay stubs. Under gear icon, payroll settings, i do not see any options for Business Information. Thanks

The steps provided above by DavidSC should be able to help you update the employee address successfully.

Since you don't have any option under Business Information, you may try logging into your account using a private browser and try following the steps from there. To help us check if this is a browser and cache related. To start with, access your account using an incognito or private browser. You may use these shortcut keys:

  • Google Chrome, press CTRL  Shift N
  • Mozilla Firefox: press CTRL  Shift P
  • Internet Explorer: press CTRL  Shift P
  • Safari: press Command Shift N

If it works fine using the private browser, access your account using the original browser and clear the browser's cache.

If the same thing happens, I suggest reaching out to our QuickBooks Online Support to check this further for you.

Feel free to add a comment below if you have any other payroll and QuickBooks concerns. I'll be always here to help you.

I'm having the same issue. There is no Business Information - Work Locations option to select.
