Hi, Allisons and Hilltop.
There's been a delay in the notification when processing the payroll funds. However, there's no actual impact to the money movement, and the funds will be deposited soon.

We appreciate your patience regarding this issue.
neither did ours i call and while holding there massage said direct deposit would be taken of later today.. and they we sry for the inconvenience. call was dropped
Ours didn’t go thru either, and when I called, I briefly heard that recording about an issue; think the message said the issue was rectified and deposits would be made but it was said so fast! Hoping someone has information I can share with my fellow coworkers!
I am having the same issue. All 4 direct deposits normally show up Friday mornings. All 4 of my employees/contracts, including myself, have still yet to receive their pay.
Update: I did just receive an email receipt from QB re direct deposit- so I’m hoping/guessing the money will soon be in coworkers’ accounts.
Thanks for letting the Community know what's going on with QuickBooks Online Payroll.
It looks like there have been other reports of direct deposit payroll not processing at the scheduled time. Due to an issue with the system there will be a potential delay in notifications to QBO Payroll customers on their successful payroll processing. The good news is there is no actual impact to money movement and payroll will be processed today.

Why we were not notified of the ‘issue’?? It would have been nice to be able to inform/prepare employees that their paycheck would be delayed….
Any idea of time frame?? I would really like to let employees know when they’ll receive their direct deposit paychecks (almost lunchtime here, in eastern time zone)
We are having the same problem. I'm waiting to Live Chat but does anyone have an actual phone number to call? It would be nice to at least be able to hear a message so I could let my employees know what is happening.
Scroll up & click on the “QuickBook Status” link in MorganB’s post; think that’s the only explanation we’ll get.
I work for a company by the name of pretty pups grooming by Tori. I set up my direct deposit, but on my account number I was one number wrong. The routing number is right so I never received my direct deposit. I need to find out how I go back receiving my money
Let me walk you through the best steps to help recover your funds successfully, Pagelyn.
Since the account number is incorrect, I recommend that you or your employer contact the receiving bank to verify if the wrong bank account exists.
If the account exists and the funds were successfully deposited, your employer needs to request a direct deposit reversal within five business days of the paycheck date.
Please note that while this process can retrieve the funds, it is not guaranteed, as the success depends on the circumstances surrounding the reversal request.
While waiting for the reversal, your employer has the option to issue a paper check to you while the reversal request is in process to avoid payment delays.
In cases where the receiving bank confirms the deposit was rejected due to the account being invalid or closed, the funds will typically be credited back to your company’s payroll account.
Once confirmed, your employer can void the original paycheck, recreate it, and issue a new direct deposit.
To avoid future issues, I recommend that you double-check your banking details and work with your employer to update your account information in the payroll system as soon as possible.

So when will I actually get my direct deposit
I didn’t get paid n I was supposed to get paid yesterday
It's great to have you here, Tone23. I understand how important it is to get paid on time, especially on your expected pay date. I can see your concern about the payroll direct deposit not going through, and that you were supposed to be paid yesterday. Let me help resolve this by looking into the details right away so we can determine what happened and when you can expect your payment.
In QuickBooks Online (QBO), once payroll is submitted at least two banking days before the check date, the funds should generally be deposited into employees' accounts by the end of the day on the designated pay date.
If employees do not receive their direct deposit, it could be due to the following reasons:
For more detailed information about direct deposit delays, you can visit this helpful article: Handle a direct deposit paycheck that was not received by an employee.
Since you mentioned that you were supposed to be paid yesterday, I recommend waiting 24 hours to see if the deposit goes through. If there are issues with the bank information, the funds will typically be rejected and returned to your employer’s account. This process can take 2-3 business days after the pay date. If the funds haven’t been deposited by 5 PM on the settlement date, I encourage you to contact our Live Support Team so we can initiate a direct deposit trace on your behalf.
Please also keep in mind that if payroll is processed on a non-banking day or federal holiday, the direct deposit will not be drawn from the employer’s account until the following banking day.
Here in the QuickBooks Community, our goal is to make your experience as seamless as possible. If you have questions about direct deposits or any other concerns, don’t hesitate to reach out. My team and I are here to assist you every step of the way. Wishing you a wonderful day ahead!
My name is Nyliah Jones and I still haven't received my direct deposit even though I can see my pay stub . I was supposed to have received it on Friday. I work for Cassiopeia's home health care LLC. I have been able to receive my direct deposits just fine up until this past week.
Why hasn't my deposit went thru?
Thank you for reaching out, Mel126. Nothing matters more than on-time pay, so I’ll explain how direct deposit works in QuickBooks Online (QBO) and what to review next.
In QBO, when payroll is submitted at least two banking days before the check date, direct deposits typically arrive by the end of the pay date.
If a deposit hasn’t shown up, it’s usually due to one of the following reasons:
If payroll was processed on a non‑banking day or a federal holiday, the debit and deposit will move to the next banking day. Some banks also observe state holidays, so it’s worth checking with the employee’s bank. Additionally, QBO will send an email notification to the payroll admin and primary admin if there's an issue with a direct deposit (such as a rejection, hold, or insufficient funds), and those messages often explain the next steps.
If the bank information is incorrect or the account is closed, the deposit is usually rejected and returned to the employer’s account within 2–3 business days after the pay date. If the employee still has not received the funds by 5 PM after the settlement date, I recommend reaching out to our QuickBooks Live Support Team so we can help trace the deposit.

I know this message is old, but since November 2025, I've not received 4 direct deposits. Paystubs are available, but no money ever hit my account for those past paystubs. My employer submitted my time. There seems to be 0 accountability or fix for the issue. It's frustrating, and I'm going to suggest to my employer to find other direct deposit options because this ain't it.
I recognise the gravity of this situation and the toll this has taken on your business, Jstud. Let’s move forward by providing the necessary steps on how to handle these transactions so we can get this resolved.
Since this involves four consecutive paychecks, this points to one of two issues:
To resolve this, you'll want to reach out to your employer to verify why deposits are missing. They can also provide further explanations on why these deposits have failed.
If the issue persists, I can also recommend reaching out to our QuickBooks Payroll Support team. They have the necessary tools to investigate system errors or initiate a direct deposit trace on your behalf.
