tracking mailed w2 forms

Let me help you today about the mailed W-2, mhdbny.

We mail the W-2s directly to your employee's home address starting January 10. You can view and print copies of your W-2s starting January 13.

If you've set up QuickBooks Workforce, employees can also see copies of their W-2s online.

To check it, you can open the employee's profile and review the address from there. Let me show you how:

1. Select Payroll from the left menu, then Employees.
2. Click the employee’s name.
3. Select Edit employee.
4. Check the address of the employee.
   
   

On the other hand, we're unable to track any forms sent to us.

When your employee moves to another state, you may need to set up and pay taxes in that state. See Set up payroll taxes in a new state.

Once the W-2's mailed to your employees, you'll receive an email notification letting you know they received it. 

If I may ask, can you please verify the payroll subscription you're currently using? As every subscription has different takes in handling W-2s. If you're unsure which payroll service you're in, here's how to find which payroll service you have.
