You said you have no instances in which the undo button does not appear. I talked to one of the Quickbook representatives on the help applet within the app. I had issues with even adding an admin user as an accountant so they could undo my reconciliation. I was told that even in the case I managed to add the user, that accountant user wouldn't be able to help me, as that option is only available on QBOA US, and not Dominican Republic, which is my edition.
I find quite absurd that I'm paying the same price as American users, yet I have limited use of the same product. Please tell me if the person who assisted me was wrong, as I'm quite desperate over this matter.
Kindest Regards,
Thanks for getting back to us, @Plzwhy.
Yes, that's correct. The Undo option is only available in the US version of QuickBooks Online Accountant (QBOA). In your case, you can manually edit each transaction to undo the reconciliation as a workaround.
Here's how to do it in your QuickBooks Online (QBO) version:
In QBO, the Gear icon at the top, then pick Chart of Accounts under Your Company column.
2. Locate the appropriate account for the transaction and select View Register on the Action column.
3. Identify the transaction to edit.
4. In the reconcile status column (indicated by a checkmark), repeatedly click the top line of the transaction to change the status, then Save.
To learn more about unreconciling an individual transaction from a completed reconciliation, consider checking out this article: Undo or remove transactions from reconciliations in QuickBooks Online.
Please know that I'm only a post away if you have any additional questions or concerns. I'll be here to answer them. Have a great day!
Do you understand how absurd it is that I pay the same US users pay and have lower functionality?
Why isn't there any response from the team on why I pay the same and get less?
Hello there, @Plzwhy.
Currently, the Undo option is only available in the US version of QuickBooks Online Accountant (QBOA). I can see how important to have this feature working for you. Then, to have full functionality when using QuickBooks to run your business smoothly.
When undoing bank reconciliation, you'll have to manually unreconciled each transaction or let your accountant do it for you. However, it's still important to consult an Accountant. This is because they understand the cause and effect of undoing an entire reconciliation.
After unreconciling, you can reconcile the transactions again. You can also check this article to see different information on how reconciling transactions work in QuickBooks: Learn the reconcile workflow in QuickBooks.
Please know that you're always welcome to post if you have any other concerns.
