Does any one have any experience with integrating Stripe with QuickBooks. I have a new client who would like to do so but when I contacted QBs through the chat they were very little help. Thanks!

Hello booksmith74,
Thank you for your question. I would add up to Ashley H answer that there are many third-party apps that help to integrate with Stripe. I would stop here with the app that has many positive reviews on the matter. So, I would suggest looking for the 'Receive payments' category on Intuit AppStore or either 'Make payments' as Ashely suggested and look for the Synder app. That one is doing many good things and also has a great support team, that will be happy to help you should you have any questions.
Any information for Desktop? Enterprise? Integration with Stripe.
Hello there, @kmilbourn.
QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) also allows integration with a number of third-party apps and software. You can search for the app from the App Center to verify if Stripe integrates with QBDT.
Here's how:
Or you can also go directly to this link and search for Stripe: https://desktop.apps.com/home.
If you have further questions about Stripe, I recommend contacting their customer service team.
Please know that you can always get back to us if you have any questions with QuickBooks. I'm always here to help. Have a good day.
Ashley,
I would also like to do this but I'm a bit sketched out over picking a random 3rd party app to do this, especially one that I don't see in any materials by Stripe.
Can you say anything about how these apps get into your marketplace, what the level of scrutiny is, as well as what guarantees are, etc?
Thanks,
T
Thanks for joining this conversation, @tyler7.
We recently enhanced our security requirements for protecting your data. That said, all third-party apps which are not fully compliant with our requirements will no longer connect or sync with your QuickBooks Online (QBO) company.
Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns by leaving a comment below. I'll be more than happy to help. Have a wonderful day!
Ok but these security issues are all around authorization, which doesn't seem to cover the spread of things that can happen after vendors have whatever data they are handling.
So, what is the guidance on that?
Thanks for the response, @tyler7.
If you're needing guidance about a third-party app for QuickBooks Online, then I recommend contacting their support to gather more information about the integration between the two programs. Rest assured, they can give you the security details that involve your data and help you set up the connection. If you haven't already, here's a link to our App Store with the reviews, pricing, FAQs, and the overview of the app: http://apps.intuit.com/.
Please let me know if you have further questions or concerns. Have a safe weekend ahead!
Hey,
Yeah, I use this integration often for my consultancy. You can use a third-party tool such as Workato or Automate.io.
But I recommend Automate.io as it's much much simpler to use. Just go here - https://automate.io/integration/quickbooks/stripe
1. Connect your QuickBooks and Stripe accounts
2. Select the trigger and action you want
3. Map the data from the trigger to the action
4. Test and make the integration live
Note: They have also got a few popular scenarios that you can make use of without much hassle and I really really like it!
We've used Commerce Sync to connect Stripe orders from Big Commerce into QBO. Now we are using AvaTax app via Big Commerce. Which should we use to sync orders from Big Commerce into QBO? OneSaas or can we use AvaTax?
Hi Ashley,
We recently setup the AvaTax app in Big Commerce to manage the sales tax calculations. At the same time, we disconnected the Commerce Sync auto-reconciliation app between Stripe and Big Commerce into QBO as Commerce Sync could not separate sales tax with each order. So now orders are syncing with sales tax into Avalara yet they are no longer syncing into QBO. Please advise what is the best app to sync orders from Big Commerce into QBO. Avalara says they can do this but I read that only OneSaas manages the Big Commerce/QBO integration. In the end, we need QBO to report on retail vs. wholesale revenue (we are using QBO wholesale vs. retail product categories, product SKUs and have tagged wholesale customers as tax exempt in Big Commerce) and ensure we are not calculating tax twice via AvaTax and QBO.
Thanks!
Theresa
Hi there, Theresa.
You may want to visit our Quickbooks Apps store to find the right apps for your business needs. You can review the product and see its ratings and reviews as well.
Here's how:
You can read our help articles, in case you need tips and related links in the future.
Let me know if you have other concerns. I'm always around to help you out. Stay safe.
You can visit https://apps.intuit.com/app/apps/home and search for stripe sync. You will be able to find relevant apps for your use.
It's unbelievable to me that in spite of Stripe's borderline arrogance no how they are the "go-to, distruptor" of online payments, there is nothing but these sketchy 3rd party solutions to get your Stripe info into PayPal. PayPal, who for years developed with the speed of a snail and was very high friction, in fact paving the way for Stripe, has turned the tables the last few years. The integration with QB Online is fantastic! And Native!
I don't know how Stripe can ignore this need as I can't imagine how many start-ups are not using QB Online, in spite of the Xero's, Freshbooks and other fringe tools trying to make inroads into the market. The PayPal integration is so far ahead of Stripe that I am considering ditching Stripe and going back to processing with PayPal just to lose this manual headache I have to deal with trying to get my Stripe stuff into QB Online.
If Intuit or Stripe ever get serious about a real integration, that might change my mind.
Would love to hear from others feeling my pain!

We really need Stripe to work with the native "pay now" function. Any chance of this?
Good Evening, @Tim Marshall.
I hope your weekend is going great so far. At this time, there isn't a way to have Stripe as an option with the "pay now" function. However, your customer can choose some of the other options:
You can learn more about rates per transaction through this link provided.
If you have any other questions, don't hesitate to ask. Take care!
You need another payment service to have a "pay now" function with Stripe.
Hi Tim,
Are you saying that you would like stripe to work with the pay now feature in paypal?
Would you be able to give me some more details about what you're looking for? We may have a solution that would work for you? My Email is [email address removed]. I hope to hear from you!
Best,
Jake

Hi, I am really surprised that Stripe and Quickbooks don't have a better integration rather than using third party apps. It seems like the only way to import my sales through stripe is to have yet another app, which costs another $30+ fee per month on top of the fees already associated, and assuming a third party app then wants access to sensitive sales data, just so I can get an accurate reading of total sales ... correct me if I'm wrong. There's go to be a better method. Steve
