Need a validation code

Hi,

I have Pro 2007. Yes I know it's an old version, however it is what I have for the time being.

I purchased a new computer and installed Quickbooks on it. I now need a validation code and can't seem to get one.

I was on a chat last night for well over an hour and it seems that my info doesn't show up in their system.

I purchased this years ago, obviously, and have had it on several computers. It has all my business accounting and I need to access it.

The gal I chatted with was not helpful in any way shape or form.

 

Who can help me get a validation code? I am willing to upgrade to an newer version, however I need to access what I currently have.

Thanks for checking in with the Community. I’d like to help you get a validation code so you can get signed in to your QuickBooks and get to business. While the 2007 version is out of technical support, we can try logging into your Customer Account Management Portal to get a validation code. Here’s how:

  • Log in to CAMPs using the credentials connected to your product. 
  • Select your QB version under Products & Services. 
  • Choose Details, and look for the validation code. 

I’ll keep an eye out for your response. Let me know how it goes and we can determine the next steps if needed.

I am not sure they will give you the validation code for the 14 years old license. You may install the trial license of QBD 2011, 2015, 2019 and 2021 to upgrade your old file in stages. Then you may purchase a one time license of QBD 2021 Pro 1 user worth $299 or Premier 1 user worth $499 later. We may share the trial codes of them all. Otherwise, you may purchase a 3rd party upgrade service.

Hi. My license is not registered in CAMPS. I don't know why. I am willing to upgrade to a newer version. If in doing that, will I be able to access my old version to get all of my company files?

We don't have the trial code of QBD 2007. As the first step, you may install the trial license of QBD 2011 to convert your file.

And how do I install the trial version of 2011? I've tried to find it online and not successful.

We no longer have a trial version of QuickBooks 2011 since it's not a supported version anymore. We only provide trial links for the latest version of QuickBooks. 

 

To help you update your company file and be ready for a newer version of QuickBooks, I recommend reaching out to our Technical Support Team. They can give you an executable file of the 2011 version and hep you slowly update your file and make it compatible to the new one. 

 

Here's how to reach out to them:

 

 

  1. Go to the Help menu and select QuickBooks Desktop Help.
  2. Click Contact Us
  3. Type in a short description of your concern and click Lets' talk.
  4. Select between Chat or Get a callback.

I have Enterprise Solutions Manufacturing and Warehouse V18, R17_19.

I let my subscription lapse by a one day. I have it re-activated, but i keep getting the same dialoge box that just tells me that my subscription has lapsed. I downloaded the tool hub and tried everything without any resolution. I followed the steps on the problem code site for the issue and have gotten to the last step. I am now needing a validation code. I logged into CAMPS but do not see any validation code. PLEASE HELP!!!!

I wish I could make it easier for you to find the validation code, but there is one thing that you can do to keep your business up and running, dan888.

 

Generally, when you purchase a QuickBooks software installation disk, you can find the license information or validation code on the sticker in the packaging, and if you have purchased the software online, you can find it in the confirmation email. If you have lost them, you'll have to contact our Technical Support Team to get the code.

Why do you still use QBD 2018 Enterprise? Check your CAMPS and use of any available license in there (i.e 2019-2021).

To get a validation code to activate your license, you'll need to contact our Technical Support Team. Our tech support agents can review your account in a secure environment and provide an activation code. I've included some steps to contact support below. 

 

  1. Open QuickBooks.
  2. Go to Help, then select QuickBooks Desktop Help.
  3. Hit Contact Us.
  4. Give a brief description of your issue, then tap Let's talk, and then choose a way to connect.

I spent more than an hour on the phone with QuickBooks help.  I need a validation code that will work.  She gave me three of them and none worked on my computer but only in her system.  I bought a new computer in May of 22 and uploaded my program.  Now it wants a validation code.  Can you help?

We have Quick Books  Intuit 2011 version. I  have the CD but have miss placed the code! Recently the computer died and a new computer was purchased. All Quick books files were saved and transferred to the new computer! We can`t access these files! The original Quick Books would have been registered under Athletic Therapy Services, North York, Toronto, Canada M3H5Y4.

You have purchased a new machine running on Win 11, correct? While you can recover your license key, your version of QBD doesn't support Win 11. You may need to buy a new license to upgrade your files or convert data to QBO or another accounting app.

It's my priority to ensure you'll get the validation code, @Richard0711and be able to access your QuickBooks files. With this, allow me to share some information and steps so we can accomplish this.

 

Without a valid validation code, it isn't possible to open your QuickBooks files. The validation code is required to activate the software and use it properly.


However, if you've registered your QuickBooks software with Intuit, you'll be able to retrieve your validation code by logging into your Intuit account. You can try the following steps to retrieve your validation code:

 

  1. Log in to CAMPs using your product's credentials.
  2. Find the 2011 version of QuickBooks and click on it under Products and Services.
  3. Select Details and complete the necessary steps in retrieving your validation code.

 

If you are unable to retrieve your validation code, I would recommend getting in touch with our Technical Support so they can provide it to you. Otherwise, you may need to purchase a new license.


Additionally, it's worth noting that QuickBooks 2011 is no longer supported by Intuit, and as a result, you may experience compatibility issues with newer operating systems or other software. It may be worth considering upgrading to a newer version of QuickBooks Desktop to ensure the continued functionality and security of your financial data.

Hi QueenC,

I am having the same trouble. Have QuickBooks Pro 2008 Release R10P and had to re-install it on a new machine because the old one broke.

The only thing I need to make the software work properly is the validation code.

I've tried contacting support by phone but they always give me the run around and route me to a sales person that wants to sale me a new software package.

I've transferred the software before and was given a validation code then and it all worked perfect, If my old machine wouldn't have broken, it would be working and would work forever.

Is there any way that you could please help me get this validation code?

The problem is that QB Desktop 2008 is too old and they don't even provide the installer file on their site. I am not surprise Support won't bother to generate the activation code. Consider to purchase a newer QB Desktop version with a non subscription license to upgrade your file.
