Updated from version 2021 to 22, one of the computers gives me this error msg every single time i login, yesterday i was able to install QB on two different new computers and got no error msg, i called support but as usual support wants a 1300 dollar payment to help, support and i tried it in a new computer and the same error pop up, according to them is a virus, i checked all the pc's that access that drive none have viruses or malware, when i go back to my test pc's they do open with out issues, the test one i did with support doesnt, funny thing is i can access the file fine but the msg will stay on the screen wihtout been able to move it. tried the repair data as the program suggested, nothing works, according to Andrew the supervisor QB scans all the QB database files on the computer and the network before opening thus propmting this error since in that same location are old files that get access by older versions of QB trhat
Although it is possible that you have a virus on your network, but that wouldn't be my Go-To first option.
What is the error message you're getting and when do you get it in the installation process. And by "new" computer did you mean a different one or a literally a new computer? If it was just a different one, did it have a prior version of QBs on it.
If Support didn't already do this, you might also try to go to download a clean copy of QBs and then Uninstall what's on the machine. Then try and install from the new copy. (I'm assuming you have all your license info.)
And if QBs is installing okay, but then you get the error when you try to open the Company File, then try using the QuickBooks Tool Hub. Go to the below link and look in Step 1 > Item 2 and click on QuickBooks Tool Hub to Download the App.
Hello thank you for the reply no i get the error msg after is installed, i attached the error msg, i get it after is installed, i did try to completely uninstalling on this computer that one that has the problem, reinstalling installation goes smoth until is time to open, according to support is because QB scans the drives for QB databases and if it finds a problem then is when you get this issue. by new computer i mean two difewrent computers on the netrwork that never had QB in it the ones i did never gave me or still dont give me this error, the one i did with support overt the phone (because the insisted to install on a machine that never had QB before did give me the error).

Are you sure you have contacted legit Intuit Support?? How did you contact them? It's also funny that they still use the word "virus" today.

Welcome back, @Cubanghost.
Not being able to get the support you need with this data problem can be a deal breaker, most especially if you have other things to do. I can see how this has impacted your workflow, but I want you to know that we want to make sure you're able to get the support you need from us.
We have to ensure our customer's account is safe in this public forum. For this, we really need to let our Live Support to handle this concern. I know it's time-consuming to contact support, but only our technical team can create escalation tickets, as this forum doesn't handle account-related concerns.

Your files may be corrupt but I'm not sure that a "virus" is the cause. As you can notice from the following references, no service charge is more than $250
https:// quickbooks.intuit.com/learn-support/en-us/help-article/damaged-data/quickbooks-data-services-standard-data-recovery/L6fPGTqC7_US_en_US?uid=l3du0ael
There is also a lot of data corruption that Data Services cannot repair for some reason. Our clients had to purchase a third party file repair service.
I place a call back this time using one of the other computers that qb still works on, i am waiting to get a call back lets see cause this is a head scratcher
Actually on the first post i places a picture of the error i get with a phoine number, if that is the wrong number then iwas calling scammers
Having the same problem, they want me to buy a service product to fix it for $2000 Dlls.
They mentioned that there are too many people calling with the same problem.

Contact us in private and we can give you a second opinion on your file after we check it.
That error message ended up been a scam, i had to run various scan with different programs till it was resolved, QB assisted me doing a clean install. when i put the phone number on google sure enough is a scam. the program runs right after you start QB, it doesn't disrupt the OS nor it messes with anything. it just an annoying pop up that runs with QB executable.
I have been getting this same error message for 6 days now. I talk to qb they told me it was my computer. I built a brand new machine and installed everything new. After about 30mins the pop up can back again. Does anyone have a solution to this problem.

I appreciate you for trying out the steps recommended for you. Since you've tried the possible solutions above to no avail, I suggest contacting our QuickBooks Care Support. I know that you've already reached us about the same issue. However, our phone support has the tools to conduct a thorough investigation to identify the reason why you're getting the warning error and come up with a fix.
Please take note our operating hours for chat support depend on the version of QuickBooks that you're using. Please see this article for more details: Support hours and types.

I was in the line with Technical support for more than an hour, and the lady that was helping me told me that the phone number that appears in the window is not from QuickBooks, she walk me through a lot of steps until finally she was able to remove the windows warning. For me it is a scam, be careful. I had this issue for five days I even called the phone number that is in the window but they want me to buy a data protect service so that's when I started to doubt. Call QuickBooks directly.
Hello,
I am having this same error. They requested $3,000 to fix the issue. We just upgraded to QB Desktop Pro Plus today and the error is now popping up on this one before it was popping up on the desktop 2019 version. However I saw the comments regarding running Malwarebytes. I did this and it found those files mentioned but it still is popping up this error even after reinstalling it again. Any help??

Do you have a network with multiple computer sharing the master file? or are you just using 1 machine with qb
Multiple computers connecting to the main computer over the network.
