You must contact Support to ask for the activation code. Otherwise, you can ask the seller for the code from Intuit.
Hello, i want to activate my QB desktop, but it always ask me to add phone number to the account. and i have no idea what phone number to provide. chat with the agents, they always told im not the primary contact and cannot guide me. this is so frustrated. can someone please advise on this?

If you're the one who processed it, enter in the number that you typed in when you ordered QuickBooks 2022. Please see these articles for more details:
If you purchased form someone else, it's possible that the license is already activated or registered. This can be the reason why you were informed that the primary contact is different.
In that case, you will need to ask the previous owner to assign you as the new primary contact. If you can no longer contact the person who registered it, follow the steps on this article on how to request to be the new contact or admin: Request to be the Primary Admin or Contact.

QB Desktop 2009 is outdated and too old. You can try to chat Support asking the activation code. But I believe they won't bother to do so. Another potential issue is QB Desktop 2009 doesn't support Win 10 or 11. If you don't mind to use the trial version of QB Desktop 2021, you can use it for good to upgrade your version if required.
