Hey, I am Christian, owner of an e-commerce business, and just started to set up a company in the US. We using QB but sure that we set up everything correctly. We need somebody who can guide us as an expert - payment will be done by card. Looking forward to finding somebody in the community. TY By Christian

You can create products from your Item List screen.

 

Here's how:
 

  1. In the top menu bar, go to Lists, then Item List.
  2. Click Item, then New.
  3. Choose a type of item you want to create.
  4. Fill out your fields.
  5. Use Custom Fields to add any customized areas.
  6. Select Save.

 

If you're looking to process payments through Intuit, you'll need to apply for a QuickBooks Payments account. This can be done while signed in to your books:
 

  1. In the top menu bar, go to Customers, then Add Credit Card Processing.
  2. Follow your on-screen steps and fill out the form to apply.

 

If your application's approved, the account can be linked with your company file, then you'll be able to process payments in QuickBooks.

What do you mean with "payment"?

Do you need to purchase the subscription license for QB Desktop or do you need to accept card as the payment method for your customers?

Thank you we already set up almost everything, now we need to add barcodes - as numbers - but don´t know how. That´s why we are looking for a freelance | expert who can assist. We are not nature speaking English people, so it is quite tricky to get all things done correctly. Christian

What type of barcode do you need? Is this related to your inventory or something else?

yes, it is a barcode for each of our products, so if I put in an order, or set a packing slip for fulfillment, we need to show the barcode on the packing slip, so nothing will go wrong and customers get the right products.

Are you using QB Desktop Enterprise Platinum?

I would recommend using a 3rd party inventory management application to integrate with QB Desktop. The barcode feature in QB Desktop is very limited and you can't use your mobile phone as a scanner. You can only use QB Desktop Enterprise Silver to integrate with a 3rd party app to lower costs. You can also able to integrate with Shopify.

While it is currently not possible to add barcodes on packing slips in QuickBooks Desktop, I highly recommend providing feedback regarding this limitation. By doing so, our engineers can take your input into consideration and potentially include the feature of adding barcodes on packing slips in future updates. 

 

  1. Go to Help.
  2. Select the Send Feedback Online option.
  3. Select the Product Suggestion option. A pop-up window displays.
  4. Enter your feedback suggestion.
  5. Click the Send Feedback button. The feedback is sent.

 

Your feedback plays a crucial role in shaping the development of QuickBooks Desktop, and we appreciate your contribution in making the software even more efficient and user-friendly.
