Hi,
I have QB for quite a few years, was working well until a few days ago I tried to open my company in my 2020 Accountant version but I am getting an error "QuickBooks Desktop has reached the expiration date and will no longer open company files". If anybody could help me please on this would be very appreciated.
I already tried uninstalling & reinstall and did not help.
Hello, @AccountantUser1.
It's always nice to see a new face here in the Community. Let's run the File Doctor to help resolve this message that you're receiving when opening your company file. Here's how:
Step 1: Download and install QuickBooks Tool Hub
Step 2: Run Quick Fix my File
Note: If you still get an error message or can't open your company file, move to Step 3.
Step 3: Run QuickBooks File Doctor
You can learn more about the QuickBooks File Doctor through this link. Should you need further assistance, don't hesitate to ask. Have a great day!
Thanks for your reply. I ran Quick Fix & the File Doctor, File Doctor did not find any problem with the file. I also tried the repair option in the Control Panel and got the error "1328 Config.MSI PATxxx missing". In the QBWini file there is line stating "LED: LEDConfigFile was either not found or is corrupted". Let me know of any other solution to try.
Thanks

Nothing has helped so far, it seems something got messed up when I tried cleaning my PC of a virus and it affected some legit files.
I understand it can get frustrating having to go through multiple troubleshooting steps and not having any of them work can be a real pain, AccountantUser1.
Damaged data components related concerns usually require troubleshooting steps that need to be performed more than one attempt. In this case, I'd suggest contacting our Technical Support Team. They'll pull up your account in a secure environment and investigate what's causing this issue.
Here's how to reach them:

Install the trial license of QBD Enterprise. If you are unable to run it, you have to troubleshoot your Windows.
I finally got this solved. I installed the software on another PC, and the same error message appeared when I tried opening any company file, so I realized it was a licensing issue I call support & confirmed my license is all good, they told me to re-sync the license and then all was solved. I was quite frustrated that I wasted all this time, and that the previous support tech advised me that my data file is corrupted & need to pay $300 to get it recovered. (By the way I did try to sync the license before & it didn't help, it seems something was wrong on the Intuit server.)
Thanks all for trying to help.
