User role with a Bill payment view only

This is a question about the User Roles management in QUickBooks Enterprise.  I need to have the Purchase Vendors and Purchasing Department with access to do PO, Inventory with a VIEW ONLY access to the Bill Payments to Vendor .

Is this configuration possible?

User role with a Bill payment view only

I'd be glad to answer your question about user access, jecalderon.

Yes, you can create a new role for this user. Then, customize it to only give access to create PO and inventory but not to bill payments. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Company menu, select Users, and then click Set Up Users and Role.
  2. Proceed to the Role List tab.
  3. Click New.
  4. Enter the name of the new access or role.
  5. Select Vendors and Payables, then click Partial under Area Access Level.
  6. Click the Plus icon beside Vendors and Payables to see the complete list of access.
  7. Select all access that you want to give to this user.
  8. Click Pay Bills and select None under Area Access Level.
  9. Select OK

Once done, assign this role to the user. Here's how:

  1. Go to the User List tab.
  2. Click the name of the user and select Edit.
  3. Look for the role that you just created under Available Roles.
  4. Click on it and select Add.
  5. Select OK.
