Bank Of America Intuit Online Payroll

I will not be transferring my Intuit Online Payroll through Bank Of America to Quickbooks Online Payroll.  Do I need to make sure that I cancel my Intuit Online Payroll account before the deadline date when it says I will be automatically transferred to Quickbooks Online Payroll?  If I don't cancel, will I be automatically charged for Quickbooks Online Payroll?  If not, and I don't cancel my Intuit Online Payroll account, will I still be able to access my company Payroll reports for this year when it comes to tax time?

Thank you!

Bank Of America Intuit Online Payroll

Hi there, service5.

I'm here to share with you some information about handling payroll transactions on the Intuit Online Payroll (IOP) and QuickBooks Online (QBO) platforms.

You can cancel your IOP subscription ahead of time before transferring your data into QBO if you'll export your data manually. After the process, the system allows you to access your data for six months after the cancelation date. However, if you've set up a direct transfer from IOP to QBO, I recommend canceling your account after the process to avoid unusual behavior or unexpected issue.

On the other hand, the system won't automatically charge you if you don't cancel your IOP subscription unless you already subscribe to QBO Payroll. Additionally, make sure to cancel the IOP account before the renewal date to avoid incoming fees.

To help you choose the right payroll plan for QBO, you can open this link: Find the right payroll plan for you.

And, here's how you can learn more about handling your payroll data in QBO: Help on common payroll topics.

If you have any other follow-up questions about QuickBooks or payroll, please notify me by adding a comment below. I'm more than happy to help. Keep safe!

I'm not going to be transferring to QBOP, so I'm just trying to determine if I will be charged for any kind of fees should Bank Of America automatically transfer my account from IOP to QBOP.  If I need to cancel my IOP account to avoid any charges, will I still be able to at least access my data (i.e. payroll reports) from this year?

Thank you!

I appreciate your time getting back here, service5.

After canceling the account, you will have read-only access to your payroll data for 6 months. If you want to save copies of your reports, you can export them by following these steps:

  1. Go to Reports and select the report you want to run.
  2. You can filter the report by date range, employee, or work location.
  3. Hit the Update Report button.
  4. Click the View in Excel link and save the data.

In this sample screenshot, I have run the Payroll Details report:

For reference, you can read this article: View and print payroll reports.

In case you want to reactivate your payroll for year-end task, check out the instructions in this link: Reactivate your QuickBooks Payroll subscription. Go to the Intuit Online Payroll Enhanced section.

Please keep in touch with me here if you have any follow-up questions regarding payroll. I'm always around to lend a helping hand. Have a good weekend.

Bank Of America Intuit Online Payroll

Hello, Intuit has repeatedly failed over a period of months and months to migrate my account or enable that to happen, despite contrary messaging in emails and in these forums that every account is ready to migrate.  Behind the scenes, it is admitted that some accounts have technical issues.  These were promised to be resolved in short order months ago.  I even contacted the office of the president and that was also unhelpful and they terminated communication and concluded they had succeeded because they promised to get the issue fixed "soon" (that was a while ago, and it's still not fixed, and that's not a customer service resolution).

So I am leaving Intuit and going to ADP, which has a feature Intuit lacks:  customer service.  I want to cancel my Intuit account but I still want the Q4 2021 reports run, filed, and paid.  Will this happen if I cancel my account now?

Hello, TheMaximus.

I understand how frustrated you must be. However, please know this is not the impression we wish to leave you with. Our goal is to ensure we help every single customer along the way to the best of our abilities.

You'll want to wait to cancel your subscription plan until after the Q4 2021 reports have run, filed, and been paid. Once you cancel, everything in your account will be under Read-Only mode. QuickBooks Online hangs on to your data for one year. This lets you pick up where you left off if you decide to come back. We delete the data after that.

Here are some steps to cancel your subscription plan:

  1. Open a web browser on your computer, not a mobile device.
  2. Sign in to QuickBooks Online as an admin user.
  3. Select the Gear Icon and then Account and settings.
  4. Go to the Billing & Subscription tab.
  5. In the QuickBooks section, click on Cancel subscription or Cancel online
  6. Follow the onscreen steps.

For additional details about canceling your account, check out Cancel your QuickBooks Online subscription

Please let me know if there's anything else that I can do for you. Take care!

I'm not in Quickbooks Online, so presumably those instructions won't work for IOP.  Your engineers are months behind their promised timeline in figuring out how to migrate my Intuit Online Payroll account to Quickbooks Online and have wasted hours of my time with false promise after false promise about resolving the issue within a few weeks (that was months ago).

I also find it disappointing that I have to pay for another month in order to have reports filed and taxes paid relating to pay periods I have already paid for in 2021.
