When I follow the guide to use enhanced security for gmail (web mail for invoices), a webmail authorization window is opened. When I click "Next" and get the message that the browser or app may not be secure (and Couldn't Sign You In). It suggests using a different browser,, but the window is opened by QB. It is a QB window.
I am using the procedure to Set up secure webmail. https://quickbooks.intuit.com/learn-support/en-us/configure-products/connect-your-email-to-quickbook...
What do I need to do?

Any app accessing Google data needs to be reauthorized as part of the updated Google's privacy policy. This means we need to authorize QuickBooks to use Gmail. Before doing so, ensure that your QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) is updated to its latest release version.
After that, refer to this article and proceed to How to authorize QuickBooks Desktop to use Gmail section for further guidance: Reauthorize QuickBooks Desktop to keep using Gmail.
Once done, let's set up your Gmail again in QBDT. Here's how:
You can always visit the article you've shared above to learn more about connecting your email to QBDT.

This did not work. I get the following screen. The error is "Couldn't sign you in. This browser or app may not be secure. Try using a different browser. If you're already using a supporte browser, you can refresh your screenand try again to sign in."
But the "browser" is a QB window.
There is the problem. QB browser window not secure. I can't get past this problem.
Thanks for adding a screenshot of the error message, Tom_Dozier.
The error that you've encountered is caused by the new security update of Google. To rectify this issue, you'll have to reconnect your account using 2-Step Verification. I'll show you how to do it:
If the issue still persists or you’re already using 2-Step Verification, you can turn on the Less secure app access option in Google. Here's how:
For more troubleshooting steps about this error, you can read this article: Gmail couldn’t sign you in from QuickBooks Desktop.
I've also attached an article that will help you resolve common password issues when using Webmail in QuickBooks Desktop: Fix Webmail password issues.
You can find me here if you have any other concerns or further questions about setting up emails. Assistance is just a comment away.
This is what I tried. When I chose to Add or Edit Webmail, the error occurred every time. I had to Add a Gmail account (since I had deleted it) without enhanced security. Then go to Google and register Quickbooks and get a secure password. It is a onetime use password that I was told to not remember. I copied and pasted the password into Quickbooks when sending an invoice and it worked.
I was able to complete the process by opening quickbooks online in a google chrome tab, then viewing a report, then exporting to Google Sheets, then enter 2 factor qbo code, then allow multiple permissions through google prompts. I was getting the error while trying to setup though the qbo desktop app (mac).
So after you associated your gmail credentials with your Intuit account via QBO, you were able to send mail through QB Desktop with no further steps because QBO and QB Desktop both used the same Intuit account?
