I've been trying to condense our company file for a couple of days. The goal is to get rid of all transactions before 1/1/2019. I can successfully run a condense on transactions before 1/1/2018, but when I run 1/1/2019, once it almost finishes, I get this message: "QuickBooks found some problems with your company file, but don't worry! You can fix most issues by rebuilding your company file." - But I ran Verify then Rebuild and Verify again before I ran condense and no errors were found. If I run Verify and Rebuild after this message, it clears the error, but it still doesn't condense. In the log files (QBWin) I found this: ": Unable to read company file attributes - owner id =xxxx} - i saw this message in the error list before.
Any suggestions on what i can do to get QuckBooks get rid of transactions i dpn't need any more?
Thank you for dropping by the Community, Steverguy.
I can see that you're having challenges condensing your file. Let's work together to find a resolution for this issue.
If your company file is hosted on the server, use the backup copy to move your data to the desktop. Before we start, I recommend to prepare the following:
When your're ready, let's go ahead and install your QuickBooks. Here's how:
You can browse through this article for detailed instructions: Install QuickBooks Desktop.
After completing the installation, QuickBooks will prompt you to activate and update the software. Next, open the company file and run the Rebuild Data utility three times.
When you're done, condense your data again. If none of these suggestions work, I advise contacting our Technical Support Team for further assistance. They'll perform a screen-sharing session to check for any corrupted entries.
Here's how to get the contact details:

There is corrupt data from 1/1/2018 onwards (e.g. negative inventory). You will need to purchase a third party condensate service.
Thank you for your help. I'm trying to set up the best time to contact support.
Do I need to be in single user mode for them to help me? We're using Enterprise, and have a team of individuals using QuickBooks throughout the day. My goal is to get to the bottom of the issue with as little disruption as possible.
Thank you,
Steve
I'm not sure the Support team can fix it. You can contact them to confirm.
Another option, consider purchasing a third-party service as mentioned earlier and have them repair your file over the weekend to reduce your downtime.
Thanks for your responses, I appreciate it! - It sounded like maybe they could remote in and find and possibly find a fix. It seemed like a good first step.
That being said, I'll look to see what third party options are out there just in case.
Thank you again for your help!
Contact me in private and we can help to condense your file over the weekend.
