hey guys have 2019 desktop pro , and is know crashing after it opens have win 10 version 2004

Hi there, @rabit777.

I'm here to help you with what you can do to fix this issue. But first, I'd like to know if you've encountered any error messages. If yes, you can share it in the comment section so that we can check a specific resolution.

However, if there are no errors, let's find out why your QuickBooks Desktop program crashes, You may refer to the possible reasons below:

  • The company name may be too long.
  • A damaged or missing QBWUSER.INI file.
  • A corrupt hard drive.
  • The program files or QuickBooks Desktop installation may be damaged.
  • A damaged Windows operating system.
  • Windows OS needs to be updated.

Also, you need to check if your computer meets the system requirements needed to run QuickBooks Desktop 2019. This is to ensure that it's compatible with the program. If it meets the system requirements and the program is still crashing, I'd recommend using the QuickBooks Tool Hub. To know more about the troubleshooting process, check out this article: Solutions for when QuickBooks has stopped working.

If you have any other QuickBooks questions when managing your account, feel free to comment below. I'd be more than happy to answer it for you. Have a great day.

Thanks for getting back to us, @rabit777.

If you already followed the steps shared by my colleague above and the issue persists, let's run the QuickBooks built-in diagnostic and repair tools called rebuild and verify data utilities. These tools will repair and notify you of any possible data damage within the file.

Here's how:

  1. Go to File, then select Utilities and Rebuild Data.
  2. Choose OK. Follow the prompts to save a backup.
  3. Click OK once completed.
  4. Now, go back to File, then Utilities, and select Verify Data this time.

If QB detected no problem with your data, hit OK and double-check if the date is already correct. However, if it finds an issue, you will be prompted to Rebuild Now or View Errors. Choose Close, then perform the steps below. Here's how:

  1. Locate and check the QBWin.log or QuickBooks.log files.
  2. Scroll to the bottom for the most recent Verify information.
  3. Find the line that contains the LVL_ERROR, then check Top data damage errors in QuickBooks Desktop.

For additional information resolving date damages, consider checking out this article: Fix data damage on your QuickBooks Desktop company file.

Please leave a comment in this thread if you have any additional questions. I want to make sure everything is taken care of for you. I'll be here to help. Have a good one!

Hi, @rabit777.

I've got some additional troubleshooting steps to isolate this issue. It's my pleasure to share them with you.

First, download the and install the QuickBooks Tool Hub to run a quick repair on your program.

Here's how:

  1. Close QuickBooks.
  2. It's recommended to download the most recent version (1.4.0.0) of the QuickBooks Tool Hub. Save the file somewhere you can easily find it (like your Downloads folder or your Windows desktop).
  3. If you've already installed Tool Hub before, you can find out which version you have. Select the Home tab. The version will be displayed on the bottom right or you can select About to view the version.
  4. Open the file you downloaded (QuickBooksToolHub.exe).
  5. Follow the on-screen steps to install and agree to the terms and conditions.
  6. When the install finishes, double-click the icon on your Windows desktop to open the tool hub.

From the Tool Hub, here's how you can run the Quick Fix my Program.

  1. In the QuickBooks Tool Hub, select Program Problems.
  2. Select Quick Fix my Program.
  3. Start QuickBooks Desktop and open your data file.

If you're getting the same result, you can run the QuickBooks Install Diagnostic tool from the Tools Hub or repair your QuickBooks Desktop installation and run the Clean Install tool from the Tools Hub. For your guide, you can open these articles:
