Hi, so I purchased the self-employed turbo tax and QuickBooks bundle. Does this bundle file both state and federal taxes for me by April 15? If so, is there anything specific that I need to do? Or is the process is self-explanatory on Turbo Tax?

Hi, so I purchased the self-employed turbo tax and QuickBooks bundle. Does this bundle file both state and federal taxes for me by April 15? If so, is there anything specific that I need to do? Or is the process is self-explanatory on Turbo Tax?

Let me share some insight about how Self-Employed + TurboTax Bundle works, @andyle2o9-gmail-

The Tax Bundle is a subscription for both QuickBooks Self-Employed and TurboTax Self-Employed. This gives you an easy way to send your Schedule C data to TurboTax so you can file your taxes.

Moreover, a bundle subscription will waive the federal filing fees, plus one state return. For this to work, make sure to use the same username and password as you log in to both your QuickBooks Self-Employed and TurboTax Self-Employed accounts.

Thank you! To clarify, my subscription allows me to file my required state and federal tax return in April?

I just want to be sure...

Hello andyle2o9-gmail-!

QuickBooks Self-Employed will only estimate your federal taxes for Schedule C. State taxes are not included. You may want to check the state part with a tax expert or an accountant.

Here's an article that explains what QBSE estimates: How QuickBooks Self-Employed tracks self-employment taxes.

But since I got the bundle subscription with Turbo Tax and Quick Books for Self - Employed, does Turbo Tax help me file both state and federal taxes for this upcoming April?

Since I got the QB & Turbo Tax subscription for Self-Employed, does Turbo Tax allow me to file both state and federal taxes for this upcoming April? Or just only Federal? I’m sorry, I’m just confused because I thought this bundle allowed me to file both state and federal taxes on Turbo Tax.

Hello, andyle2o9-gmail-.

Let me share some insight about filing your federal and state taxes in QuickBooks Self-Employed. Since you've bundled subscription with Turbo Tax, QuickBooks Self-Employed will only calculate your federal taxes for Schedule C. State taxes are not covered. You may want to check a tax expert or an accountant to help you with it.

Hi. So does this mean I can PAY my taxes through turbotax? I am looking at the Monthly Plan description for the quick books+turbotax bundle. It says:

Pay quarterly and annual taxes online.

So how do I do that? I have been looking everywhere and nothing is making sense.

Hello, BarretoT.

Let me share same insight how TurboTax works in QuickBooks Self-Employed. TurboTax Self-Employed app is designed for contractors and self-employed individuals. It's for tracking your business taxes only.

Also, the Tax Bundle is a subscription for both QuickBooks Self-Employed and TurboTax Self-Employed. This gives you an easy way to send your Schedule C data to TurboTax so you can file your taxes.

If you wish to upgrade to the Tax Bundle, here's how:

  1. Click the profile icon and then Billing info.
  2. Look for the TurboTax logo and select Get our Tax Bundle.
  3. Press Subscribe now or Switch Now.
  4. Follow the steps to add your payment info.
  5. Select Subscribe to bundle.
  6. Hit Done

Consolidating your QuickBooks and TurboTax account is unavailable, edmcdonald.

You may have these three options:

  • Use your TurboTax account moving forward.
  • Use your QuickBooks Self-Employed moving forward.
  • Maintain two separate accounts.

If you need to send QBSE data to TurboTax, you can use this article for detailed information: Send QuickBooks Self-Employed tax data to TuboTax using different sign-in info.
