I want to ensure you're able to add an attachment to your customer's record in QuickBooks Online, @mcrino.

I tried to attach a PDF file/other file types to the customer's profile using our test account and everything went well. Based on your scenario, it's possible that you're experiencing some kind of a browser-related issue.

Your default browser's history data may be tainted, which could result in unexpected program behavior. Try uploading your attachments while using an incognito or private browser. Any of the following keyboard shortcuts can be used:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: Command + Option + P

The following file types can be added to your QuickBooks Online account in order to safeguard your account's security:

  • PDF
  • JPEG
  • PNG
  • DOC
  • XLSX
  • CSV
  • TIFF
  • GIF
  • XML

If you're able to include the attachment with ease, I suggest going back to the main browser and clearing your regular browser cache to prevent unusual browser behavior moving forward. On the other hand, try using other supported browsers if the issue persists.

I'm also adding this module to learn more about what transactions in QBO support attachments: Add or delete attachments in QuickBooks Online.

Loop me if you need extra assistance regarding attachments or QuickBooks. It's my pleasure to be of help always. Keep safe!
