You can only buy the one time license for QB2021 to my knowledge.

So the End of Life will be May 2024, basically only two years from now.  

(Assuming they use the Online Banking, Payroll, etc.)

From whom???  I've seen this response before, but no one at QB seems to know anything about it.  If you can still buy the one-time license, please post a phone number, contact, email, or something that we can use to do so.

I went through the whole process and luckily I got the QBdesk top pro 2021.  I can verify my license in the QB official site so it’s legitimate.  I don’t know what the retail price should be, but my prior version is so old and he helped me to jump through a few versions of updates to covert my company file to compatible with 2021.  You can check that userID something like  Fiat Asia.  Click on the username and check the company profile.  There’s email box to email.  The software is English although they are overseas.  The person helped me solely through email communication.  My overall experience is positive and really thankful that I decided to upgrade, while supplies last.

@JCAcctx Ya, i contacted them too, but they wanted to gouge me on pricing!  Double retail pricing for the product.  Same as anyone else is doing right now, if they have licenses. 

Also, there is another guy, in the US, out there that is offering the same service, although, he told me that he can no longer get 2021 versions.  He did say he can get Stand Alone 2022 version (no subscription) which i have not been able to confirm yet with intuit, but he said he could but wanted the same crazy prices and also wanted you to sign up for Payroll and QB Payments (which he then says, you can cancel it after one year) well, duh, i know how this works, and i don't NEED Payroll, so i'm not going to pay extra for it!

You can purchase the one time license for QBD 2022 Premier Accountant. I am not sure there is a legit QBD 2022 Pro/Premier with the one time license.

PLEASE tell me where I can buy Quickbooks Pro 2022 WITHOUT subscription or payroll!

There's an update on the launch of QBDT 2022. As the program updates its product lineup, Pro and Premier products will transition to a subscription basis (Pro Plus and Premier Plus) in place for one-time purchase licenses. With that said, I'd recommend reaching out to our Customer Care team to advise you on what actions you can take. This way, they can check if they can remove the add-on services or look for available offers that you can take advantage of.

When you decide to purchase QBDT 2022, you also have to ensure that your computer system meets the minimum requirements to run the program.

QBD 2022 US Pro with the one time license is unavailable. You can only purchase QBD 2021 US Pro/Premier/Premier Accountant or QBD 2022 US Premier Accountant with the one time license. 

I am sick to death of the greed of Intuit regarding Quickbooks. Now more costly than ever. And I'm sure will will continue to get worse.

I went through the process yesterday with an Intuit consultant.  You can not buy 2022 forward without the subscriptions and payroll.  They may be able to pull off the payroll but they woudn't even do that.  So, for my clients that have 2019, I am upgrading only to 2021 then that gives me a couple years to find another software.  And frankly, even if that is online, I'd rather switch then go down the rabbit hole with Intuit.   As mentioned in the posts to after my chat yesterday, they want to ensure they provide me with what I need.  They can't.  I know this is an industry trend but when so many customers don't want it, you would think they would listen.

My view, if I’m a contracted bookkeeper/accountant for small businesses, I could keep all the companies on that desktop application. Quickbooks, I’m sure will now be forcing all businesses to switch to online. Where they’ll be able to nickel and dime each company using their online SaaS. 

Yes, I just went throught the same thing. Thankfully, I was able to get 2021 non-subscription, but now I see all my vendors are out of this. Been using Quickbooks since 2008 - So, long story short, I'll be my 7 or 8 years out of this like I did my 2014 - and then I'm moving to another provider (even if it is cloud) - I'll happily pay someone else for what Quickbooks has done. It would be one thing if the support was USA based and you didn't wait on hold forever or get someone that knew what they were talking about, but Quickbooks can't even offer that. Goodbye QB!

Really?? How??  Who do you have to call??  Oh, that's right, you can't call anyone directly.  You can leave an online message and wait all day the following day for someone to call.  And after waiting all day, they will tell you they can't help you and you should buy the 2022 version and there's nothing they can do about FORCING you to buy their product every year at outrageous prices.

I bought the 2021 version not realizing it is a subscription.  I haven't even opened the box.  If I can talk to someone who will provide a one-time license, list their phone number or email address.  I've talked to more than enough "customer service" reps who only want to sell, sell, sell & can't do anything else.

How were you able to get it at this point without an annual subscription?

Yes, and hold your data hostage.  What happens if there's a glitch and you can't get online?  Or someone at QB messes up and your subscription shows as invalid?  You can spend hours trying to get "customer service" to help and stressing yourself out over a deadline.

Maybe Microsoft will come out with something again.

You will need a 3rd party service to extract the data and migrate it.

QB Desktop Subscription has nothing to do with QB Online.

Similar to MS Office, Adobe and many other software companies, you do not by a new version every so many years.  With the subscription, you're software is just kept up to date with the latest releases.  You are charged either a monthly or annual fee.  Your Data is still on YOUR computer/server. 

The problem I have with it is that someone has gone off the deep end with the pricing.  The annual subscription price should be approx 1/3 what the standalone product was - OR LESS.  The manufacturing and marketing cost for new versions has gone down.  The cost to train Support has gone down since there is now only ONE version because everyone gets updated.  I've used QBs for decades, but many of my clients will jump ship as soon as there is a good alternative OR once QBs pushes them too far.  (I've already seen some migrate away.)  And QBO is not an option.  As you mentioned, the servers crash too much and a LOT of them (especially out side of big cities) do not have the bandwidth to use QBO.

I bought Desktop for the reason that I wasn't going to be sucked dry for a program that is absolutely crap this round. When I had quickbooks in 2008, the program was easy, smooth, intuitive and now it is absolute garbage. Now I can't even open my software without the subscription and the fix mentioned here "Utilities" is blacked out on my screen so they have screwed me over on it again. Quickbooks has turned into another bloodsucker in today's small business landscape, congratulations! 

Literally hate this company and it's crap software.

QuickBooks Desktop Pro Plus is valid for three years. Since you're using the 2021 version, this software has available support up until 2023. You also have the option to upgrade to the 2022 version, which is the most recent one.
