Quickbooks Desktop compatibility with office 365

Thank you so much for your attention to my need. I am very appreciative.

I ran the Rebuild and Verify Data with no problems found.

In QBWin.log I found the last instance of "Verify Information," and there was no LVL_ERROR found.

I read through the suggested reading but didn't find anything that fixed the error.

Just to be sure I opened a report at this stage and went through the sequence to export to a new worksheet in Excel. So you can see what I'm seeing, I attached a jpg of the unusual dialogue box I see with the first three options grayed out.

I am indebted for your help. Thank you.

Additional feedback. I tried the email drop down in my report and selected the send in Excel option. The error response was that Microsoft Excel could not be opened.

This error is also new behavior. Normally it would have opened an email with the Excel attachment.

Thanks for following up with us, @Finley.

Let's figure out the possible reasons for the unusual behavior of your reports.

I've tried exporting a report to Excel using my QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) sample file, and it works fine as before. I can share with you some troubleshooting steps to isolate the issue.

First, make sure to open QuickBooks as a master administrator to be able to export any reports seamlessly. The user access may hinder the process reason why the options unavailable. If the same thing happens, I recommend repairing your account to fix common errors right away.

You can use this article as your guide: Repair your QuickBooks Desktop for Windows.

On the other hand, make sure to set up your email service correctly from the Preferences to open an email with the Excel attachment. You may check out this article for the instructions.

To learn more about exporting reports to Excel from QBDT, you can as well open this link.

Lastly, here's an article you can read more about managing reports: Understand reports.

Please let me know how else I can help you with QuickBooks or reports. I've got your back and am always happy to help. Thanks for coming, wishing you and your business all the best.

Here is a step I found to work on machines that have issue with export to excel.

download the office uninstall support tool. Run it and reboot then reinstall office.

We fixed the issue by uninstalling 32bit & installing 64bit office.
