When I open my company file the dashboard comes up and all looks okay but then I get an Unrecoverable Error message Code 20772 38228 and it asks me to send the report in and then the company file unloads and Quickbooks quits. THe Error report has a bunch of files with gibberish.
Can you open the sample file and create a new file without any issue?
I got your back, @KriswithaK.
In QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT), unrecoverable errors happen if there are software, data, system, or computer issues. To fix this, you can perform the steps below.
If you're using the Multi-user feature, let's determine how many users are affected. To verify, you'll need to open the company file using the login credentials of each user. If the error only occurs for a specific user, the user credentials might be damaged. To fix this, you have to recreate the user.
If this is not the issue, you can suppress your QBDT program. Here's how:
You can also open a sample file to test if the problem is in your company file. To do so, proceed to Solution 3 of this article: Unrecoverable Error: General Troubleshooting Steps.

It is also recommended to save a backup copy of your file regularly. This is to ensure that you always have an original copy that you can restore at any time in case of data loss.
