I am trying to import the accountant export back into my QuickBooks, but after it displays the changes and I click import it freezes up and nothing happens.
I have tried it on multiple computers. Any suggestions?
Thank you
Hi, davidmatyas.
Thanks for sharing your concern here in the Community. I'd like to share some troubleshooting steps that can resolve issues when importing accountant changes in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT).
There are times that you may receive an unexpected error while importing an accountant-changed file in QBDT due to data damage. To isolate the issue, you can run the QuickBooks Tool Hub. This program is used to fix common file errors and repair data integrity issues.
Additionally, it's recommended to use this tool on Windows 10 (64-bit) for the best experience. When you're ready, here's how to run it:
Once done, you'll have to launch the Quick Fix my File function. I'll show you how:
If you still get an error message after performing the steps above, please follow the third step/solution in this guide to run the QuickBooks File Doctor.
Just in case you're still getting the error, you can uninstall and reinstall QuickBooks. Here's an article as a guide: Clean Install QuickBooks Desktop.
I'm just a post away if you have any other concerns about importing the accountant's file. Stay safe and have a great rest of the day.
Hi,
I just tried the tool hub (it said nothing wrong was found with the file). I then tried the file doctor, same thing. I tried importing the changes on three different computers, so uninstalling and reinstalling won't help. And it still doesnt work.
Thank you
