Auto Purchase Order Reordering

Hi Tori ... Thanks for the reply. We have been using this platform for over 10 years now with the auto reorder function and now the button has just vanished.  Did Intuit change something? The Contact Us messenger is not working in the help function as well.

Thanks,

Jelayca V

Auto Purchase Order Reordering

I want to assure you that Intuit hasn't changed anything about Purchase Orders (PO), @train64. This feature is still available for our valued users, and I’m here to provide an update on the situation.

Currently, the investigation about the Create Auto PO's button issue in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) has been marked as resolved.

However, if the button hasn't reappeared for you, I recommend updating your QBDT version. Keeping your software up to date ensures you have access to essential features like the Create Auto POs button, as well as the latest improvements.

To start, let’s check if your version is the latest release. The updated releases include QuickBooks 2024 R10_19, QuickBooks 2023 R14_49, and QuickBooks 2022 R17_41. To verify your version, please follow these steps:

  1. In your QBDT, press F2 (or Ctrl+1) to open the Product Information window.
  2. Review the current version and release displayed.

If your version doesn't match the ones mentioned, let’s proceed to install the update.

  1. Select Update available, then Install now to begin the update.
  2. Wait for the update to finish.
  3. Open QuickBooks once the update is complete.

If the issue persists, you can contact our Desktop Support team for further assistance using this link: What can we help you with?

To track your income and expense transactions in QBDT, please check out these articles:

Visit us again if you have further questions about POs and how to track them in QBDT. Please click the Reply button below, and I'll be sure to get back to you.

@Jelayca V  "I want to assure you that Intuit hasn't changed anything about Purchase Orders (PO)"

If Intuit hadn't changed anything, there would be no need for the engineers to create a patch, nor for the OP to install it.

It's okay to admit it when your engineer's hand slips, you know.

Auto Purchase Order Reordering

I know you're worried about the missing Create Auto PO's button in your QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) account, MattB728. But don't worry, you're not alone in this, and we're here to find a solution together.

To address this, let's first ensure that your QBDT version is up to date so you have the latest features and product improvements. After that, check your display settings. Sometimes, display issues can cause buttons to disappear. We can adjust the QuickBooks DPI settings to help fix the issue.

Here's how:

  1. Close QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) and open the Windows Start menu.
  2. Type "QuickBooks" into the search.
  3. Right-click the QuickBooks icon and tick Open file location.
  4. In the folder, right-click the QuickBooks.exe file and select Properties.
  5. Go to the Compatibility tab and place a checkmark in the Disable display scaling on high DPI settings box.
  6. Click Apply, then OK.

Once done, re-open QBDT to double-check. If the same issue persists, consider checking out this article and proceed to Step 2: Adjust your view preferences in QuickBooks for more troubleshooting steps: Fix screen issues in QuickBooks Desktop.

Should you need assistance with your company file in the future, we've got you covered. Check out this helpful article for steps to resolve any issues: Fix data damage on your QuickBooks Desktop company file.

Your success with QuickBooks is our priority, MattB728. If you have any more questions about creating auto PO's or need a hand with anything else, just reach out. We're here to support you through every step, so don't hesitate to jump back into this conversation whenever you need.
