cannot add product on invoice

Trying to add a line item on an invoice, when I choose the drop down on Product / Service and select my product it opens a side window as if my product is not there and wants me to add.  My product however exists, how can I add it without this window opening.  Capture1.JPG

I'm here to provide you some troubleshooting steps about unable to add other items in your invoice in QuickBooks Online. 

 

I'd recommend doing tricks to shut away from the problem. A lot of cache files on your browser can sometimes cause the Product/Services window to pop-up as if the product isn't there. 

 

To start, please access your account via incognito. These browsers won't collect any browsing histories. 

 

Here are the shortcut keys:

 

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Safari 11 or newer: ⌘ + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + P

 

Once logged in, re-select the item in the Product/Service column to verify if it's already operating properly. If you're able to do so, please go back to your usual browser and clear the cache. So, it will speed up your overall browsing experience and fix other issues. Using other supported browsers is a good alternative too.

 

Additionally, you can always access any sales and customer's report to review all the data you've recorded into the system. Then customize it to show precise information.

cannot add product on invoice

I have done ALL of the below, to no avail.  I was on the phone with QB for over 1 1/2 hours trying to get this solved, only to be told that QB is aware of the issue and that they are working on it.  When I expressed that I didn't feel I should have to pay for QB service when I couldn't USE the service, I was told that a manager would call me back in 24 to 48 hours.  That was Monday and today is Wednesday.  No one has tried to contact me.  I was already hesitant to switch from QB Desktop to QB Online, and this only furthers my apprehension.
