Still hasn't fixed the problem with clicking on "Invoices" opening 14 empty tabs, "Checks" opening 13 empty tabs, or "Enter Bills" opening 9 empty tabs, and clicking on the link to learn more about the R11.2 update still leads to a webpage that only has updates to July 2022 (R10), so I'm going to say … no.
Nope. Still buggy as usual, maybe moire so now. It crashes every time i use it. But what choice do I have.... all my financial history / transactions are in there. It'll eventually work stably.
The tabs issue should be fixed - make sure you run QuickBooks->Check for Updates and apply it. Then make sure you are running the same copy of the application that was updated.
We have had a report or two on printing crashes when including jpeg graphics in the layout template. We thought those were one off - perhaps some issue with the JPEG itself - but it sounds like there are several reports here. Try using a different template (one without any additional graphics) and see if that crashes. Let us know here. That will help to give you a work around and also to help us determine the cause.

It isn't fixed. I checked for an update, the update was applied, and I am running the only copy of the application that I have. About QuickBooks Desktop Mac 2021 shows the version as V20.0.10 R11.2, which is the most updated version.
Whatever email was posted is marked as "removed," so I don't know what I'm supposed to do with that.
In summary, however, the spurious, empty tab creation issue is not fixed.
Hi @Parcan64 and @bdonovanw,
At this time, our product engineers are still working on a fix to the printing crashes issue in QB Mac on mac OS v13 Ventura.
If you haven't yet, I recommend contacting our QuickBooks Support Team. This way, they can add your company to the list of affected users and get an update about the resolution status once resolved.
On the other hand, @bdonovanw. Personal Identifiable Information (PII), such as emails, shared in the Community forum will be deleted due to data security reasons.
Thank you for your patience while we're working on a fix for this issue, @@Parcan64 and @bdonovanw. Our Community forum is always open to help you again if you have other concerns with QuickBooks.
Don't even think about it! They don't care about fixing the issues. Useless.
The last post was 2 weeks ago. Has the print crashing and all other bugs been fixed yet. I haven't updated to the latest version of quickbooks or the latest OS Ventura yet. I'm waiting to see on this board from users that everything is working fine before updating to all the latest software. Any feedback from users as of today would be appreciated. Thanks!
I am using Ventura with QB2022 and all seems okay. The drop down menu problem appears fixed. I am not brave enough to add QB2023 to the mix as my installation of that resulted in loss of about six months data and I had to revert to using QB2022. I use a desktop version not cloud. Would also love to hear from others re QB2023 use with Ventura.
Great question, myashus. It's my concern too: Is Compatibility with new mac OS Ventura for QuickBooks Desktop for Mac 2021 version now stable? Are there still printing problems? Are there still problems will multiple tabs opening when unwanted? Are there other major bugs still out there for QB Desktop for Mac 2021 on Ventura?
I guess I forgot to post I am also using quickbooks for mac 2021. Not later versions. Some people are on different versions. I'm specifically talking about mac desktop 2021 as well.
Mooajai...I appreciate that you are using QB Desktop for Mac 2022 and Ventura...all seems okay? My boss has wanted to update to Ventura, but if I do, I want to wait until next year. I don't need anymore computer headaches for end-of-year work.
Same here, I am also using QuickBooks Desktop for Mac 2021. Any progress on it being 100% compatible with Ventura by now? This version specifically. Thanks!
Hi, @billhdz. Thanks for joining the conversation.
We haven't received any updates yet that MacOS Ventura is 100% compatible with QB Mac 2021. That said, we can't guarantee it will run without any issues.

The updates we have released are intended to provide Ventura support. If "full Ventura compatibility" means there are no bugs at all in Ventura or in QuickBooks Mac 2021 running on Ventura... that's a tough thing to answer. We've fixed all the known issues as far as we can tell although I have heard that some people are still experiencing printing crashes if they print forms and have certain graphics types "floating". A work around for this is to move all the graphics in the form template to the back layer with Arrange->Send to Back in Layout Designer. This is probably an Apple bug but... we haven't reproduced it so hard to know for sure.
I was notified today when opening QB2021 that there was an update available, which listed itself as R12. Updating to this version finally fixed the extraneous empty tabs issue that had been going on before.
In the update window, there is a link to click on to get the changelog; unfortunately, the page it links to has still not been updated since R10's release, and so all information regarding the R11 and R12 updates are not present on that page.
Thanks for your update. Is R12 working properly for you? I've been waiting to see when the bugs are fixed so that it is safe to update to OS Ventura (I had a nightmare experience with Big Sur that is burned into my memory).
It's the beginning of February now. Have all the major issues been addressed yet? Printing crashes? Extra tabs etc? Would like to update my Mac to Ventura, but not if there are still any issues. What's the latest word? especially on the print crashing issues?
Thanks for joining this thread, @myashus. Let me provide some insights about the System Requirements for QuickBooks for Mac.
Currently, we haven't received any updates yet that MacOS Ventura will run seamlessly for QB for Mac 2021. That said, we can't guarantee it will run without any issues, especially with printing.
Listed below are the minimum system requirements for QuickBooks Desktop for Mac 2021:

That is a strange answer:

Is Intuit not testing the app to make sure it works well? Does Intuit not trust their own programmers and developers? Why can't we get a straight answer like other software companies do with their apps?
When will we get a final answer about MacOS Ventura being fully compatible with QB for Mac 2021 100% for sure? We have been waiting a long time.
I originally wrote a question months ago regarding Ventura compatability with QB for Mac 2022 Desktop. No answer was ever given. So I'm assuming the answer is Intuit doesn't know about that as well. Right now, as Office Manager of this practice, I am recommending holding off upgrading to Ventura...and QB for Mac 2023. Status quo is the way to go for the moment while everything seems to be functioning.
Thanks for the comments, you are correct, we have to hold off upgrading to Ventura for now, but it's hard when you have other apps that need me to upgrade to the Ventura operating system and I can't upgrade because Intuit keeps putting this off. Very frustrating. It makes it look like they have no control or smarts about their own software. Maybe their software developers are not that good. Very unprofessional. Other companies have beta testers and good programmers to take to make sure things work well. This is taking too long.
Anyway, best wishes with your business. Hopefully we will hear from Intuit soon with a very SOLID YES, that QuickBooks Desktop for Mac 2021 is compatible with ventura.
It is running reliably here on Ventura. There are always issues on some user's systems - it isn't always QuickBooks that is the cause (things like bad fonts or damaged data bases or incompatible third party extensions though those have been far less of a problem for the last few years).
The slipstreams have been to add Ventura compatibility for the most part (as well as things like 1099s and security fixes etc). It is supported. More fixes are still upcoming soon.
It's compatible with Ventura. There is a bug some people have encountered with printing on Ventura. As far as we can tell this is a bug in Ventura itself and not an issue with QuickBooks. That makes it difficult for us to fix. it's related to images in the user's layout. Moving those images to the back of the layout does seem to fix the issue in the cases we've encountered. I'm not sure how common it is - we don't see it on our systems.
Thanks for the reply. That is a better answer that we have been getting which made it sound like it's not fully compatible with Ventura. The printing on Ventura issue seems to be the only thing right now based on what you said, and I can out up with that until more fixes come ( hopefully soon ). But I am very happy to know that QuickBooks Desktop for Mac 2021 is now compatible with Ventura.
I went ahead and upgraded to Ventura tonight and QB 2021 seems to be working fine on my end. No extra tabs or print crashing. If anything comes up as I use it more I'll post on here, but so far so good.
