Computer Crashed Now I can't recover Files

My computer crashed. I reinstalled my Quickbooks and I also did the upgrade I have Quickbooks Pro 2016 Small Business installed. I did an upgrade to Quickbooks Pro 2019.  I have tried to open my account with my back up which is on my computer. I have shut off my Kaspersky virus protection while I try to open Quickbooks. I have went into utilities on my Quickbooks and I have it allowing Hosting. Still when I try to open the backup I still get the errors:

Hosting Mode is OFF   & QBDBMgrN not running on the computer.  I have run File Doctor a few times.

I have restarted, re-installed etc and Still I can't get my company open.  Thanks for the help!

Thank you for joining the thread, @Stnick.

I'm happy to know that you already recovered your file. And let me help make sure you can upload it to your new version of QuickBooks Desktop.

May I know how old is the company file you're going to upload to a newer version of QuickBooks? Please know that you can only upgrade the file to a version that is three (3) years higher. For example, you can restore a 2015 back up to a 2018 version. You cannot skip this process and jump directly to the newest versions, it has to be done in a hierarchy.

If this is the case, you can consider contacting our QuickBooks Support Team. This way, they can help get your recovered company file uploaded to your new QuickBooks version. Here's how to reach them:

  1. Open QuickBooks and click the Help menu.
  2. Select QuickBooks Desktop Help.
  3. On the pop-up screen, select Contact Us.
  4. Click the Search for Something else button then type your concern in the Ask us anything box.
  5. Hit Search then scroll down to get your contact options.

You might want to check out this article to learn how to upgrade your company file so it works in newer versions of QuickBooks: Upgrade your company files after switching to a new version of QuickBooks Desktop.

Please let me know if you need clarification about this, or there's anything else I can do for you. I'll be standing by for your response. Have a great day.
