Customizing Invoices in QuickBooks Desktop

I used to able to import nice templates but I don't remember how to do it or maybe they're not available anymore. However, I want to add some color and designs to my forms and was wondering i someone might know how to do it. I am using QuickBooks Accountants 2020.

Customizing Invoices in QuickBooks Desktop

Welcome to the Community, @MarkTheMoneyMan.

You can still import templates in QuickBooks Desktop. You've got me here to guide you on how to do this.

The option to import an invoice template from the Lists menu. Just make sure to log in to QuickBooks as an admin to avoid any restrictions from importing a template.

Once you've successfully open QuickBooks as a master admin, you can follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Lists menu, then select Templates.
  2. Select Import from the Templates drop-down.

On the other hand, to customize the template in the system, you'll just need to click it and start customizing it according to the appearance that you want. Please see the screenshot attached for your reference.

For additional tips about managing templates in QuickBooks Desktop, you can open this article: Use and customize form templates.

In case you encounter any issues while using the template, you can always scan through the steps found in this article on how to fix it: Learn how to fix common template issues in QuickBooks Desktop.

I'll be around if you have any follow-up questions or other QuickBooks Desktop concerns. Take care and stay safe.
