Tool Hub did not fix the problem. So I set up to log in as a new user.
It no longer changes to left icon bar, but now it keeps giving the popup to turn on the left icon bar.
Does Quickbooks get the signal that when my screen turns off, that it is changing resolution?
Why is it so persistant in getting me to turn on the left icon bar?
Is it because the left icon bar has a Quickbooks Ad on the bottom.
Wouldn't it be better if Quickbooks would demand a third monitor (designated billboard) for Quickbooks ads!
Popups and ads, so distracting! It's the Quickbooks way!
Let me help you fix this issue, AccountKeeper.
A higher resolution results in the computer decreasing the size of the windows and contents to display more in a given space. Decreasing the resolution results in the computer increasing the size of windows, so you might have to scroll left or right to see some of the displayed information. QuickBooks, can detect screen resolution and adjust the font size accordingly. This will change the font sizes on the screen to coincide with any adjustments
Usually, you'll get this pop-up window when the QuickBooks system is in high-resolution graphic displays. This includes any of the following issues:
Please know that QuickBooks is designed and coded for the Default Windows dot per inch (DPI) value of 100% (96 DPI). Many systems with high-resolution displays now ship with DPI settings of 125% to 150%. To resolve this, you can set the Windows DPI to Smaller 100 (96DPI). Reducing the DPI setting will make text in Windows smaller as the DPI is lowered.

I'm having a similar issue. I have the icon bar turned off, but it appears at the top anyway. If I change it to the left, then turn it off again, it disappears. But next time I log in to QB, it reappears at the top again. This just started happening about a month ago when we updated to 24.0 release R6-92. My co-worker is having the same thing happen.
