I have Quickbooks Desktop Enterprise Solutions 2018 installed on a desktop computer. I have a new desktop computer that I want to use so that I can dispose of the old desktop computer. I want to install the software and transfer the data to the new desktop computer. How do I proceed? Is there a link so that I can download the software onto the new desktop?

Hello @Jeffrey7,
You can download the installation software of QuickBooks Enterprise 2018 from the Downloads and Updates page. Let me show you how.
On the same page, you can also find the resources about installing and activating QuickBooks is also provided for your reference.
However, you'll still need to open QuickBooks from your old computer to get a copy of your company data. You can do this by following the steps outlined by my colleague above.
Additionally, I've also included this reference for a compilation of articles you can use while working with us: Help Articles for QuickBooks Enterprise.
If there's anything else that I can help you with, please let me know by leaving any comments below. I'll be here to lend a hand.
Let me get the help you need in installing your QuickBooks Desktop account to another computer, Jeffrey7.
We can use the Migrator Tool to do so, in which you'll need to be the Company Admin.
To start, have your new computer connected to the internet and prepare a USB flash drive with enough free space to hold your QuickBooks files. The Migrator Tool will tell you how much free space you need. Most people need between 150 and 250 MB.
Once done, you're now ready to set up and use the Migrator Tool. Here's how:
On the old computer:
On the new computer:
Once done, migrator files will be automatically deleted from your USB flash drive. Then, your QuickBooks files will still be on your old computer. With that said, we highly suggest changing the name of the file(s) on the old computer to avoid using the wrong file.
For more details about this process, see this article: Move or reinstall QuickBooks Desktop to another computer.
I'm just around if you need more help with the process. Feel free to leave a reply below. Have a great day.
Is there a way to download Enterprise Solutions 2018 straight from internet without involving the old computer?

Thank you so much!
I tried this, but it said failed.
what would make it fail?
what are other ways to copy the software over?
Hello, Marcy.
I'll ensure you're able to copy your QuickBooks Desktop program to the new computer.
Using the Migrator tool and manually downloading the copy are the best ways to copy the software to the new computer.
Though, there might be other third-party apps that offer the same process. Check out our QuickBooks Desktop Marketplace to get started.
I'd like to address the part where it failed to move the software. There are several reasons why it would fail to copy the software.
One common reason is that the other computer might not have the required specifications to run QuickBooks. Another reason is that there are driver or component issue while moving the program.
Did you encounter an error message? I'd appreciate if you could provide more details about it, so I can narrow down what steps we can do.
If you're encountering installation issues while moving, you can use the Diagnostic Tool:
After running the fixes, migrate your QuickBooks copy again. Other solutions can be found here: Fix QuickBooks Desktop install errors.
After moving your copy, you'll also want to move your company file. You can check this article for the steps: Move your company files to another computer.
Ready to check your financials on the new computer? You can run a variety of reports to do this. I'd recommend checking this article for more details: Understand reports.
I'm still looking forward to your reply about the migration process. If you have other Questions in QuickBooks Desktop, feel free to add them to your reply. I'm here to help.
Download the installer file and install it on your new machine as described by JonpriL . Create a backup file (QBB) on your old machine and copy/restore it on your new machine.
it looks like I was able to download the file to the Flash Drive fine.
Its when I go to install on the new laptop that I get the failed message.
I put in the correct password. but it stops there.
Ttrying the Diagnostic Tools now
