invoice item number missing

I have an invoice in Dec of 2020 and the items numbers are missing.

the quantity, pack size, description, price and amount are all still there.

I have used QB for over 20 years and have never seen this before.

these are assemblies. I have the newest version of enterprise, updated. running on win 10

the invoice is 9 pages long.

any one seen this before? I will re-enter the invoice, but what happened?

I went into the audit trail and no jumped out, I guess I will try a rebuild.

To Verify:


  1. Go to the Window menu and select Close All.
  2. Then, go to the File menu.
  3. Select Utilities.
  4. Click Verify Data.


To Rebuild:


  1. Go to the File menu.
  2. Select Utilities.
  3. Click Rebuild Data

this is what it couldn't fix:

Error (5)
Memorized report recnum 355 was deleted.
Memorized report recnum 356 was deleted.
Memorized report recnum 357 was deleted.
Memorized report recnum 374 was deleted.
VRI:Display Index issue found. It is fixed during Rebuild.

I have also received the error "VRI: Display Index issue found. It is fixed during rebuild. This was listed in the "Errors we couldn't fix" section of the rebuild report. The only other item in that unfixable section was Memorized report recnum 229 was deleted.


Also in the "Errors we fixed section, this same report [Memorized Report recnum 229] said it contains corrupted formatting data, as well as "340 -- This memorized report must be deleted.


What is the VRI error, and what is corrupted formatting data?
