I will soon be getting a new PC. I am wondering if I can MOVE my program (QB Pro 2015 desktop) to the new computer? If so, where can I find how-to instructions?
I do have backup copies of my company file so that's not a problem. Just wondering about the program itself.
Thank you.

Hey there, dobeluvr. Welcome to the Community!
Yes, QuickBooks Desktop can be moved to a new computer. I'll help you obtain the proper steps for the transfer right here in this thread.
Since you're using our 2015 release, your application will have to be manually transferred. Here's how:
1. You'll need your product and license details available. If you don't have them, press F2 while in your books. This will display a Product Information window which can be used to obtain the necessary information.2. Uninstall QBDT from the device it's currently installed on before attempting to reinstall it on the new computer.
3. On the new PC where you want it moved to, download the installation files by inserting your CD. If you no longer have a copy of the compact disc, installation files can be obtained from the Downloads & Updates page of our website.4. Install the program.
5. After installation is completed, go to Help in the menu bar at the top, then select Register QuickBooks.
6. Enter the requested information to register your product on the new computer.
Once you've finished the transfer process, your company file(s) can be copied to their new location.

QB 2015 is an outdated version. I would recommend running it on Win 7 instead to lower the problem. If you are running Win 10 on your new machine, install and run your QB 2015 on Compatibility mode Win 7.

One problem, QB 2015 is no longer available for download and I don't have the file to re-install it on my new computer. The earliest that is available now is 2018, and of course, the key doesn't work.... What can I do short of buying a new version?
You can still download the installer file for QB Desktop 2015 US version.

Hi
I am no longer using the email that the update & download page is asking for verification thru. It has changed since i purchased QB pro 15. Have a new computer and would like to move it over. Any suggestions?
Thanks
Hello there, @amp9.
I'll make sure you can move QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) to your new computer. Let's first visit the Customer Account Management Portal (CAMPs) to ensure your email address is updated so you can download and install QBDT smoothly.
CAMPs is the page where you can manage your accounts, products, contacts, billing, and user ID access. It also provides a convenient way to download your products and find your license number.
Here's how to sign in to CAMPs:
Once you're signed in, go to Sign in & security and select User ID, Email address, Password, or Phone section to review or update your email.
Immediately after that, download and install QBDT on your new computer.
If you have other installation concerns or questions about managing your company files in QBDT, please don't hesitate to let me know in the comments below. I'll gladly help. Take care, and I wish you continued success, @amp9.
If you can't find your license code in CAMPS, Support will spare no effort to generate an activation code. Consider buying a used license (e.g 2019-2021) to upgrade your version.
When i download pro 15 US (with a Uk license) it says that my license is not valid... i have done that last year as i changed my hard disk and quickbooks team gave me a new code... now that this computer has crashed i tried with a new computer and it says again that my license is not valid...
My license number and product number is not valid...
You have to use the installer file of QB Desktop 2015 UK version, not US version.
Contact me in private and we can the installer file.
Hi there, Alex206.
I commend your efforts to download QuickBooks Desktop Pro 2015 US. I'll explain why you're seeing an invalid license prompt.
The license and product must match. As you have the UK license, you should utilize the installer file for the UK version of QuickBooks Desktop 2015, as noted by @Fiat Lux- ASIA.
Please be reminded that QuickBooks Desktop Pro 15 is no longer available for download on our website. If you no longer have a copy, you can download it from an external source.
Once you have it, please visit this article for guidance on installing and activating the product: Activate QuickBooks Desktop for Windows.
Feel free to respond to this thread if you have additional questions about downloading, product, or licensing in QuickBooks. I'm here to assist you.
