I recently upgraded to Quickbooks Desktop Pro Plus 2022 as I was getting ready to lose my payroll features. I have used create invoice for a customer, then printed the packing slip to pack their product box, in the 2019 version and for a week in the 2022 version.
In the middle of invoicing orders today, the packing slip feature stopped working. I used to be able to print it from the invoice print drop down menu. The packing slip tab is still there, it just prints the invoice.
Thank you for laying out the details of your concern, @cbicattle69.

I did run the rebuild company file. It found a couple minor issues, but did not fix the problem.
I do not have trouble printing. The problem is once an invoice is created and I go to the print tab, I can no longer get a packing slip to print. Up until mid afternoon yesterday, if I chose to print a packing slip, that is what printed. Now when I chose the packing slip tab, it only prints the invoice.
Does the Pro Plus 2022 version allow printing Packing Slips?
Hi there, @cbicattle69.
Thanks for taking the time to try the steps provided by my colleague above and letting us know that didn't resolve your issue.
Please know that all packing slips are very similar to invoices. The only difference between the two are packing slips do not have a dollar amount, whereas an invoice does.
Let's double check that your default packing slip is correct in your preferences. Once you updated, it may be possible that the default was changed during the process. Here's how:
If you see that the correct template is already selected, would you mind to share a screenshot of the packing slip you see? This way, I can take a deeper look at it to further investigate this matter.
I'll be sure to keep an eye out for you reply and look forward to chatting with you soon. Take care!
As you can see in the screen shot, I do not have a packing slip option listed. Not sure where it went.
And Packing Slips are not the same as Invoices - Packing slips print the item code while invoices print the description. So I will have to go through and change all my memorized transactions to get these printed.
I'm here to share some information about packing slips in QuickBooks Desktop, cbicattle69.

Hello, We are having a problem printing Packing Slips.
Tonight when attempting to print a Packing Slip for a shipment that has been invoiced but not shipped, I finally got it to print but it did not print the "Ship To:" Information on the Packing Slip. Mind you that all of the other information on the order/invoice was printed as to "Quantity-Item Code-Description"
I never had problems with the earlier QB DT 2019.
I have downloaded the QB Tool Hub and followed the utility to address print and pdf but that was zero help. Still prints the packing slip but the ship to address of the customer is not populate....
Update to my issue with Packing Slip printing. I downloaded and ran that QB Tool Hub repair on Printing and PDF mentioned in an earlier post. After that I reopened QB DT 2022 and attempted to print the same Packing Slip. Again the Packing Slip printed but it left blank the "Ship To:" section.
I next went back to the Sales Receipt and found there is no option to print a Packing Slip there, so I was confused earlier about the printing problem and where it was. Nonetheless the problem with printing the Packing Slip for an Invoiced order remains.

I'm interested in finding out if anyone was able to resolve the issue with the packing slip not printing. Prior to reading these threads I spent over 2 hours on the phone complaining of the same issue only to be told that the packaging slip print feature is no longer available in QB Pro Plus 2022. What a waste of time!
