When I try to use Outlook as my default email client, I get the following error message in QB when I try to email an estimate or invoice: "QuickBooks is having problems communicating with your email program."
I see that there are others having this issue and I would really like to get it resolved, as I'm sure others would as well.
Thanks,

Thanks for posting here, cornerstonemediaservices.
You may want to check if your QuickBooks for Mac is up to date. Updating the installation of your QuickBooks for Mac helps resolve issues in the program.
Please follow these steps:
When the update is complete, QuickBooks Desktop for Mac will automatically open. You also need to close and restart QuickBooks for the changes to take effect. Once done, you'll want to resend the estimate or invoice.
I've added these links for your reference:
I'll be here if you need anything else. Wishing you all the best!
Go to Apple mail>preferences>general and confirm Outlook is your default email reader.
I am running the latest version of both Quickbooks and Outlook.
Yep, did that.
Hi there, @cornerstone_media.
Thanks for following the steps provided by our Community backer and my colleague. Also, you're correct that updating the Outlook for Mac may help resolve the issue. To check for the Outlook versions that you can integrate with QuickBooks for Mac, I'd recommend checking the Software Compatability section for QuickBooks' system requirements: System requirements for all QuickBooks Desktop Products.
Also, you'll want to check out a thread where one of the users resolve this by following the suggestion of IntuitBrooks by closing QuickBooks and opening the Terminal, typing the command: tccutil reset AppleEvents. This will help ask permission to authorize Outlook to communicate with your Mac OS via Applescript.
However, if the issue persists, you can reach our Tech Support Team to lunch a viewing session for your Mac. This can help identify more what causes the issue and give the right fix for it.
Here's how:
Please let me know how it goes or place a comment if you need further assistance. I'm here to help you anytime. Take care always, cornerstone_media.
I too am having issues sending email forms (P.O.s, Estimates, etc.) from Quickbooks 2019 for Mac V18.0.9 R10. I have tried the remedies in this thread, including the typing the command: tccutil reset AppleEvents into Terminal. When I did that and after restarting Quickbooks, I did get a dialog asking for permission for QuickBooks to access Outlook and I allowed it. However still am unable to email from Quickbooks 2019 for Mac.
All updates for Outlook for Mac 16.44 (20121301) have been installed.
Can you please help?
Thanks for updating us how the troubleshooting went through, JBoom.
Since the issue persists, I recommend reaching out to our Technical Support Team. They can take a look at your account and further investigate why you're unable to send email forms.
Here's how:
To ensure that you'll be assisted on time, I suggest checking our support hours.
Additionally, I've included an article that'll help you track the emails you've sent to your customers. This way, you'll be able to manage which email address to use for each type of message: Connect and Track Emails in QuickBooks Desktop for Mac.
We're always here to assist you if you have other QuickBooks-related concerns. I encourage clicking the Reply to share more details.
There is definitely a problem between the connection of Quickbooks and Outlook. If it is an issue with compatibility between the programs, not a user-specific error, this needs to be resolved. I can't switch email programs every time I need to send an invoice to a client. This creates a logistical nightmare for the user.
