I am not able to align our checks. They print about an inch lower than they should. I have set vertical position to the max -98. Per QBO print setup, I should be printing via Adobe Reader but,
per Adobe....
The following browsers have dropped support for NPAPI, and therefore Acrobat/Acrobat Reader plug-in does not work on these browsers anymore to display the PDF.
Does this mean that in order to Print Checks, I am required to use Internet Explorer? Even though in a Support Chat I was told just make sure to reach us if you encounter some issues and better to use google chrome as your browser since it is the most compatible browser for QuickBooks as well.

QuickBooks Online supports multiple browsers, such as Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, and Microsoft Edge. In general, QuickBooks supports the current and two previous versions of browsers. We don't always support older versions.
Also, if you're using your own checks to print, they need to be formatted for QuickBooks. You can order QuickBooks compatible checks from Intuit to ensure the compatibility of the alignment.

Before you start, load some blank paper into your printer for your test prints. That way you won’t waste actual checks if you need to fix the check alignment.

In response to -@LeizylM I have been through these steps in a vicious circle for hours. I have tried on three computers and three printers. All these printers previously were able to allow alignment. Now the step where you change the alignment box on the test print has no effect or change on the printer output. The printer output remains fixed in the exact location it was. The alignment function within QuickBooks no longer has any desired effect on the printer output. I have tried microsoft edge, I have used chrome and I have the full version of the entire Adobe suite installed on one of the computers. I have installed, uninstalled, and re-installed Adobe acrobat reader as an extension on both browsers on the other two computers. None of these steps result in any different outcome. There is an error in the quickbooks online code that is not allowing the desired manipulation of the printer output from the action embedded within the "Print Checks Setup" feature located in the print checks prompt screen.

It's great that you have the full version of the Adobe Acrobat Reader. You can also perform browser troubleshooting steps as this concern could be a browser-related issue. First, let's try accessing your QBO account via an incognito/private window. The browser's cache may be full, and using a private browser can help us determine if this is the cause of the issue.
Here are the keyboard shortcuts to open a private browser:
If you're able to print using a private browser, go back to your regular browser and clear its cache. Clearing the cache or cookies is the best way to get a clean slate for your browser. Otherwise, using other supported browsers can be a good alternative too.
If the same issue persists, I recommend contacting our QuickBooks Online Support. Their hours of operation are also in this article, so you'll know there's always an available support representative when you contact them.

We use QBOL and have similar issues but with the address and the remittance advice as well as our voucher copy. We use a vertical check form (check on top, remittance advice in the middle, our copy at the bottom).
Our issue is that while we can move the $ amount in the grid we can't move anything else. Starting at the mailing address we need to shift down about 5 lines. Our only option has been to print to a PDF and edit there. But we have to do this every single time and on every single check. How can we fix the initial print of the check so that it is lined up with our check stock?
I printed the attached via PDF as suggested. It seemed to make a small difference on the remittance advice but nowhere else. I have attached a redacted example (my kids would call this a "sloppy copy").
Bottom line all we need to be able to do is to shift more items than just the amount of the check. How can we do this without all of the work arounds?

In QBO, we can only move the amount when tuning in the check alignment. And the horizontal and vertical offsets start at 0.0, which usually produces good results for most forms and printers.
Before that, be sure to use Adobe Reader to print the standard and voucher check. And ensure that it is updated. Once confirmed and the issue persists, let's adjust the scale on your print dialog box.

After that, print a sample check to verify if it's performing well. If the sample print is still off, follow the second bullet in Step 4 of this article for another troubleshooting: Configure your print settings for printing checks in QuickBooks Online.
Moreover, I'd recommend checking the printing settings of your browser because QuickBooks will rely on this setup. Just press Ctrl + P on your keyboard and configure the set up.
