we have quickbooks desktop latest updates version (as of last week).
We received our accountants changes file.
When we choose the file to incorporate changes we get the summary pop up window.
At the bottom there is the button that says incorporate changes.
When we click the button nothings happens.
No errors, no pops...literally nothing happens.
What is going on? Is this a bug in the latest update?
Hello, rookie99.
I've checked here on my end and found that there are no reported cases or ongoing investigations about this issue.
Let's utilize the Verify and Rebuild Data tool that helps identify and repairs data issues within your company file.
To start, use the verify tool to scan your company file for errors or damage:
If you see the message “Your data has failed the integrity check”, rebuild your company file. If there are no problems with your data, you’re done.
To rebuild your data:
For more details about the Verify/Rebuild process, check this article: Verify and Rebuild Data in QuickBooks Desktop.
Please let me know if you need further assistance fixing the problem. The Community and I will be here to help you. Have a great day!
I did that and it didnt find issues.
Another note, the window that shows the summary of accountant changes has 5 buttons at the bottom.
The save ans print buttons work.
The incorporate accountant changes , Close and Help buttons do not work.
This looks like a definite sw issue with your javascript or display.
I have windows 11 and quickbooks ver 30.0.4015.0
Thanks
I am having the same issue with QB 2022 using Windows 10 Pro. I have tried the Rebuild file and it does not resolve the issue.
I am having the same issue. Rebuilding the file did not resolve the issue. Only the print button works. I have Windows 10 Pro.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention, @rookie99.

I'm having the exact same issues. Our company file passed the data integrity check and I even restored to an older file and had our accountant send another copy and it's doing the exact same thing... which is absolutely nothing.
Thanks for reaching out to us,TourItMedia.
I've checked your post and found that you've posted a similar concern on the other thread. The identical one was already answered by my colleague, RoseJillB. You can go to this link to view his answer where she explained how you can import the accountant changes: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/learn-support/en-us/other-questions/re-clicking-on-incorporate-account....
I'm also adding this article to learn how to resolve unexpected results while importing Accountant's Changes to a company file: Resolve errors when importing accountant's changes.
Feel free to reach out to me again if you have any other concerns or follow-up questions.
Actually, no i have not posted another post. That is another person reporting the same issue. There is something wrong in the software.
I dont think you understand what we are reporting. Its has nothing to do with the accountant changes button via the file menu.
It happens AFTER you click incorporate changes, either choosing file or via web option. And then after the new screen shows the summary of changes there is no way to finalize the changes. The buttons dont react.
In the mean time we have manually entered all the changes via journal entries which was a pain but allows us to finish the changes and unlock our freeze.
Pleaee check your software as now multiple poeple are reporting the same isssue.
Thanks
Jorge
Appreciate the update, @rookie99.
I'm here to make sure this matter is addressed timely so you can import the changes from an accountant file without manually entering them in QuickBooks Desktop.
Thank you for sharing how entering journal entries is your remedy to finish the changes needed from the accountant copy. This will help other customers, like you, who are facing the same problem this time.
Since the issue persists, I recommend contacting our Customer Care Support. You can work with one of our specialists in letting our engineering team investigate what is the reason behind the problem currently raised. To do so:
On top of that, I've also included this reference helpful for the general knowledge needed while using the accountant's copy: The Accountant's Copy in QuickBooks Desktop and Knowing More About its Limitations. Also, make sure to always work with the latest versions of QuickBooks to avoid issues while using the file.

I am having the same exact problem.
I've got the steps to resolve this, jm591.
Let's enable the hidden administrator account on your computer. This allows you to do anything without restrictions. Here's how:
Once done, we can now import and add your accountant’s corrections to update your accounts.
After making the changes, I'd suggest disabling the feature. It's also best to create a password to protect it from unauthorized access.
Additionally, I've added these resources that'll help you learn more about managing and using the Accountants Copy in QuickBook Desktop:
Please keep us posted on how these steps work out. I want to make sure you're able to import the changes. I'll be keeping an eye out for your response.
This did not work for me. My incorporate accountants changes button still does not work.

Please update me on how it goes. I want to make sure this matter is taken care of. Thanks again for reaching out to us. Take care!
You are kidding right with that detailed explanation and manipulation of administrator rights that didn't work for the customer anyway? How many of your QuickBooks customers do you think possess the skills to follow through with those work around instructions?
I am a CPA with probably far more years of experience than most of you employees have working with QuickBooks, and I can tell you that there is a problem here that needs to be addressed by your engineers, so how about giving us a real solution to fix this issue?
I have had two clients with the exact same issue in two days describe the exact same issue, one is using the most currently updated version of QuickBooks 2020 and the other QuickBooks 2022. They go through the normal process and when a "new" screen comes up to import the changes, THE BUTTONS DON'T WORK, THEY DO NOTHING. How difficult is it for a QuickBooks software engineer to replicate the issue described and provide a real fix?
The ability to incorporate changes with an accountant's copy is a big feature that your desktop customers count on to run their businesses. Just because Intuit is focused on pushing QuickBooks Online doesn't mean you need to neglect your Desktop customers and their clear support needs. The posts in these threads go back several weeks. Might you let us know when we can expect you to acknowledge the issue and provide a fix?
Thank you

I am having this same issue. All updates are accurate.
Same issue here. I've followed all of the recommendations on this post and nothing. If anyone has resolved this issue, I'd be grateful to find out what you did to resolve.
I spent about 8 hours with QB support a few weeks ago. Still having issues. Was told that MANY people are having the same problem and there is an open investigation on this: INV-73331
How do we get an update on this investigation?
Joining the thread to assist you, @Light2013. I wanted to make sure your concern about your file is addressed completely.
Our engineering team has already released the updates via email about the investigation concerning the inability to import the changes from an accountant's copy of company data. And it is said that that issue has been closed as resolved.
Since you still have the same problem with the company file, I recommend contacting our Customer Care Support. With their tools, you can work with one of our specialists in performing the steps needed to import the accountant changes into your company data. To do so:
On that same page, I'm also including this article for the list of reports you can use: Create and Manage Reports in QuickBooks Desktop. In this reference, you're able to customize the sources and targets of a certain report to display a certain portion of your business financial activity.

I have the exact same issue. I was on with support for 6 hours and they finally told me to get an in-house tech person and see if they can fix it. It is obviously a QB problem that a lot of people are having. Please fix it!
I was on with support for 6 hours only to have them tell me to hire a tech person to fix it. Great support QB!
