I use Quick Books Accounts Edition for the desktop and was told that after June 2024, I had to go and use Quick Books on line. No way! They doubled my payroll tax table service for 2024. What this company needs to understand, we, the small business clients are what built this company. If you did not subscribe to this payroll tax table service, it is no longer available to the customer and now they have doubled the price in one year. 

What is wrong with them. This will be the last year, 2024, that I use it.

You are using QB Desktop 2023 Pro Plus or Premier Plus, correct?

You can still renew your license every year until they stop supporting it in May 2026.

According to their recent announcement, after June 2024 we will no longer be able to purchase new licenses for QB Desktop 2024 Pro/Premier/Mac. But we can still buy QB Desktop 2024 Enterprise.

I was told last year that I would have to change to Quickbooks Desktop Plus subscription.  Online is not an option as it is almost unusable.  However, now I can not find Desktop Plus subscription.  Only option appears to be Enterprise at almost $2,000.  On top of that, payroll subscription price doubled from 2023.  Can someone shed some light on this or do I really have to start researching other software options?

You have to call Intuit sales team by phone to buy it. Another option, you can purchase it through selected partners (tax exempt, no credit card required, $100 cashback).

Since QB is saying Desktop Pro 2024 is not available yet, WHEN will it be available? Or will it just be delayed until it is not longer for sale according to the Nov 30 announcement?

QB Online is causing user issues it seems, so we are not interested in that at all.

Sorry to be so dense.  I was looking at prior posts and they were about the Plus subscriptions. If we buy the $650 DesktopPro 2024, does the May 31 and July 31, 2024, product availabilities affect us at all?  How long will we be able to use the 2024 version before we are forced to QBOnline?  There is so much conflicting information out there.  We are a single user with 3 companies on our QBPro2021, not using payroll online or banking or credit card online services. We print our 1099's from QB and mail them. We submit our W-2's thru Social Security Business Services Online.  Is the DesktopPro2024 our best option before 5-31-24?  We just want the simplest, least expensive alternative.

You are still using QB Desktop 2021 with a non-subscription license, correct?

You don't need the payroll or bank feed feature. Why would you bother upgrading your version to QB Desktop 2024? You can still purchase QB Desktop 2024 Accountant and QB Desktop 2024 Enterprise after July 2024. I believe they will release QB Desktop 2025 Enterprise on schedule. Unless they release another announcement next year.

On October 3rd, 2023, we launched QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) 2024/Enterprise 24 and QuickBooks Mac 24 to the public. However, customers who are subscribed to Pro and Premier Plus, as well as Enterprise Solutions and Mac Plus, will receive email notifications informing them that QuickBooks 2024 is ready for download and installation on their systems. These notifications will be sent out in batches for approximately one week. 

For now, you can log in to CAMPS to find the download links and license information required to install. Alternatively, you can use the Desktop Manager and save time with a more automated installation.

NO, I do not need those online feeds. I thought unless I "subscribe" to Desktop, I would not be able to access or use my Desktop Pro 2021 after May 31, 2024.  I am not subscribed now.  I thought after 3 years, the 2021 would sunset.

You can still use your QB Desktop 2021 after May 2024 for good.

As pro advisors why do we need to call the sales team and spend at least 45 minutes answering questions about what we are using QB desktop for before we can get a price.  And to be honest, I hung up before I got the price.  We did the Desktop training to determine what is best for our clients, why don't you post the prices for desktop on the pro advisor benefit page.  This would make it so much easier for pro advisors along with your sales team.  Let's make things quick and easy to find (for desktop too), we are all busy and trying to help our clients find the best solution to their needs.

Their real intention is to make it difficult for you to purchase a new license for QB Desktop 2024 Pro/Premier/Mac. I wouldn't be surprised if their sales team didn't get any rewards when offering you QB Desktop.Which price info do you need? Pro/Mac starts from $650 and Premier starts from $950.

Thank you for that information.  I appreciate the help!  And I agree, they are intentionally making it difficult.  I just absolutely do not like the QBO payroll and have had so much trouble with it, I do not like having clients sign up for it.  Thank you again for your help!
