May I know the specific issue you experience when logging into your account? Any additional information can help me provide a timely resolution. 

 

In the meantime, let’s perform some basic troubleshooting like clearing the cache in a browser and clear browsing history may fix this. Let's confirm first using your browser's private window. 

 

Here's how:

 

  • Google Chrome: press Ctrl Shift N.
  • Mozilla Firefox: press Ctrl Shift P.
  • Safari: press Command Shift N

 

You can also use a different browser since every browser uses a different cache storage folder on your computerClick this article to see how to clear the cache.   

 

Also, another workaround that might work for you. You can click the I forgot my user ID or Password link on the sign-in page then reset your password. After resetting the password, you'll receive an email with a password reset link, and it’s active for 24 hours.

There are times your browser is not well configured and causes problems. This is why you're unable to log in using Chrome. 

To access QuickBooks Online, you can use Safari or Mozilla Firefox browser. 

 

Also, you can log in to QuickBooks using an incognito window. Let me show you how:

 

  • Google Chrome: press Ctrl Shift N.
  • Mozilla Firefox: press Ctrl Shift P.
  • Safari: press Command Shift N

If the issue persists, I'd suggest contacting our customer support. This way, they can check your account using their tools and perform a screen sharing session to investigate it further.

 

Here's how:

 

  1. Click the Help menu in the upper-right hand corner.
  2. Type in "Talk to a human", then press Enter.
  3. Look for I still need a human and click on it.
  4. Click Get help from a human or Contact Support Team.
  5. Select between Send a messageSchedule an appointment, or Get a callback.

Allow me to be upfront in that I am new to Quickbooks. I really would like a live conversation to address my concern that I’m paying for two QB accounts. Just need help sorting it out. I need a single account. I’m learning but not fast enough

Allow me to chime in and help fix the issue you're having with having two QuickBooks Online (QBO) accounts.

 

The ability to merge two company data files into one company is currently not available in QBO. Each company is created as a separate file and can't be merged, but you can manually input the data into the company you want to keep.

If you sign up the other QBO account by accident and you're not using it, don't worry, you can cancel it. The steps to do this are pretty quick and easy. Here's how:

 

  1. Log into the QBO account you'd like to cancel.
  2. Click the Gear (Settings) icon at the top right.
  3. Select Account and Settings.
  4. Proceed to the Billing & subscription tab on the left pane.
  5. In the QuickBooks section, select Cancel subscription or Cancel online.
  6. Follow the onscreen steps to complete the process.

 

Once cancelled, we hang on to your data for one year. This lets you pick up where you left off if you decide to come back. We delete the data after that. You can visit this article for more information: Cancel your QuickBooks Online subscription or trial.
