Shopify and QBO

Has anyone had trouble with Shopify and QBO?  The transactions showing up in QBO are not even close to what's in Shopify.  Shopify is connected to QBO.

Shopify and QBO

Hello, credit card credits on recons.

Thank you for reaching out to the Community. There could be several reasons why the transactions showing up in QuickBooks Online (QBO) are not matching what's in Shopify. Here are a few possible explanations:

  1. Delayed syncing: There may be a delay in the syncing process between Shopify and QBO. After they are recorded in Shopify, transactions may take some time to appear in QBO. This delay can vary depending on the integration settings and network conditions.
  2. Syncing errors: Sometimes, errors can occur during the syncing process, leading to discrepancies between the two platforms. It's worth checking if any error messages or notifications in the integration settings or logs could explain the mismatch.
  3. Filtering or date range settings: Ensure that the correct date range and filters are applied in both Shopify and QBO. If the filters are set differently, it can result in transactions not appearing in QBO or appearing in different periods.
  4. Integration settings: Verify that the integration settings between Shopify and QBO are properly configured. Check if all necessary data, such as sales, taxes, and fees, are set to sync between the two platforms.

QuickBooks depends on the accuracy of the data transmitted by Spotify. Our financial reports and analyses are directly tied to the completeness and correctness of the information we receive.

Also, sometimes the browser saves too many outdated Internet files, causing websites like QuickBooks Online to behave strangely. As a first step, we can refresh the page by pressing the F5 key on your keyboard.

If it still doesn't show all your transactions, we can perform some basic troubleshooting by logging in to your account in a private window. Here's how it's done:

  • Google Chrome: Press CTRL + Shift + N.
  • Safari: Press Command + Shift + N.
  • Mozilla Firefox: Press CTRL + Shift + P.

If this resolves the issue, return to your main portal and clear its cache to remove the browser's history, or press CTRL+Shift+Delete on your keyboard. We could also try logging in with another supported browser.

Stay in touch if you have any other questions or concerns about managing your QuickBooks and Spotify transactions. I'll be right here to answer them for you. Enjoy the rest of the day.
