I can help you get past this error, @useryuxichen.
The stored history in your regular browser can be corrupted and can cause unexpected behavior in the program. Let's try uploading your attachments using a private browser or incognito browser. This way, we can isolate this for a possible browser-related issue. You can use any of these keyboard shortcuts:
If you're able to add your attachments successfully, you'd want to clear your regular browser's cache. Also, you can use other web browsers. You can try running the browser health checkup tool to see if your current browser is compatible with QuickBooks Online.
Lastly, you'd want to make sure that you're attachments meet the specific requirements. Here are the file types you can attach in customer and vendor profiles, as well as their transactions:

Thank you for you reply but the response is just copy and paste from somewhere else, it didn't work at all. "There was an error uploading your attachment. Please try again." occurred continually under private environment as well.
I am sure the file extension is pdf.
Very upset, still unable to upload, please give some helpful suggestions.
Thank you for your reply but it's copy and paste from somewhere else, not helpful at all. "There was an error uploading your attachment. Please try again." continually pops up when I upload attachments under private environment in google.
I am sure the file extension is pdf.
I've tried everything I've found in this community related in this issue, totally useless.
Very upset, please give some helpful suggestions ASAP.
Let's make sure that you'll be able to upload attachment, useryuxichen.
QuickBooks Online lets you add attachments to some transactions. Since you're still unable to upload attachments after you performed some steps to resolve this issue, I suggest contacting our support team to help you fix this. They'll be able to check your account in a secure environment.

I am having the same problem, but only in one company that I see so far.
I can attach the same file in a different company with no issue.
I am trying some ideas and will come back.
Having the same problem. I also have the issue where I upload a PDF, it shows 100% but it stays gray and doesn't turn blue (hyperlink). When you try and save the invoice/expense/bill etc you get the following message.
"The file you’re attaching hasn’t finished uploading, or there was an error. Wait until it’s finished or dismiss any errors and try saving again."
Needless to say, this is extremely frustrating. Its been an issue all week. I have cleared the cache which makes zero difference.
Hey there, @LaurenBurgess.
Thank you for sharing the troubleshooting steps that you've made to address the issue.
Since clearing the cache doesn't remove the error message, I'd recommend using another supported browser. This way, we can check if there's a problem with your current browser.
Let's also make sure that you're using the latest Adobe Reader/Acrobat when uploading the PDF file.
If you're still getting a similar result, please contact our QuickBooks Support Team. They have the available tools that could check your account and verify the cause of this issue.

I am having the exact same problem you describe. Did you find a fix?
Hello there, sequoiafinefinish. I appreciate you for joining here.
If you have tried following the recommendation above, you can follow the alternative way of uploading attachments to transactions in QuickBooks.
Take a look at this step-by-step visual below to see how to go about adding attachments:
Once done, put a checkmark on the attachment you've uploaded. Then, select the Batch actions drop-down arrow and choose the Create invoice or Create expense, depending on your need. Here's the sample screenshot:
If the same thing happens, I'd still recommend contacting our support team to further investigate this matter. You can follow the steps shared by my colleague ReymondO above.
I'm adding this article for more information and tips when doing the process: Attachments in QuickBooks Online.
You can update me here on how these steps go. Also, you can post other concerns about QuickBooks. I'll help you in any way that I can.
Helped me thanks
I am having this issue for the 2nd time. Each time I try all the suggested troubleshooting, signed on incognito, cleared my brower, signed on through a different brower. The amount of time the user has to go through to convice someone with the knowledge to fix the issue is causing a hardship in our office.
