I need a validation code for Quickbooks Desktop Pro 2017. Had to reinstall and now I need a validation code.

Login to your CAMPS as the Primary Contact and find your license code there. Then chat Support and ask them to generate the validation code. They will ask you to check CAMPS to verify your data. If you can't do that, you will need to purchase a new license.

I'll make sure you'll get the validation code, @Chantelle11. and be able to access your QuickBooks files. With this, allow me to share some information and steps so we can accomplish this.

 

Without a valid validation code, it isn't possible to open your QuickBooks files. This is required to activate the software and use it properly.


However, if you've registered your QuickBooks software with Intuit, you'll be able to retrieve your validation code by logging into your Intuit account. You can try the following steps to retrieve your validation code:

 

  1. Log in to CAMPs using your product's credentials.
  2. Find the 2011 version of QuickBooks and click on it under Products and Services.
  3. Select Details and complete the necessary steps in retrieving your validation code.

 

If you are unable to retrieve your validation code, I would recommend getting in touch with our Technical Support so they can provide it to you. Otherwise, you may need to purchase a new license.

 

Here's how:

 

  1. Open QuickBooks.
  2. Go to Help, then select QuickBooks Desktop Help.
  3. Hit Contact Us.
  4. Give a brief description of your issue, then select Continue.
  5. Sign in to your Intuit account and select Continue and then Continue with my account.
    • If you don't already have an account, make sure to Create a new account.
  6. We'll email you a single use code. Enter your code and choose Continue.
    • If you have more than one account, select the account you want to use and then Continue.
  7. Select to chat with us or Have us call you.

Having product number and license number are not enough. If you can't access CAMPS and find your license code there, Support won't bother to generate the activation code. Contact me in private and you can use the trial version as a workaround.

To reach them, follow the steps below:

 

1. At the top of your QBDT login screen, click Help.

2. Select QuickBooks Desktop Help/Contact Us.

3. When a prompt appears, select Contact Us located at the bottom.

4. Type in phrases or keywords on the What can we help you with? tab.

5. Then select How would like to connect with us?

· When you choose Chat, you’ll be having a chat with our customer support within five minutes.

· When you choose Callback, you’ll have a spot on our line, and call you back within five minutes.

I have tried all of that and have had no success. I have reinstalled my quickbooks on another computer and need a validation code.  I have spoken to support etc and phoned help desk, but no one seems bothered to help.  Surely it cannot be this difficult to get assistance

Your license is too old and I am not sure Support will give you the activation code. You can contact Support to make sure.

Before we proceed, please know that every validation code is unique and can only be used once per license number. If there's no option to enter the validation code, we have a couple of solutions to perform as a workaround.

 

Solution 1: Manually activate QuickBooks:

  1. With QuickBooks open, press Ctrl+P on your keyboard.
  2. This will open a manual activation window.
  3. Enter your validation code.

 

Solution 2: Manage your license:

  1. Go to Help, Manage my license, then Change my license number.
  2. Type the license number as all 0s (zeros).
  3. Don't enter the validation code and then select Finish.
  4. Go back to HelpManage my license, then Change my license number.
  5. Enter your license number. Enter the validation code when prompted, and select Finish.
