Vendor direct deposit issue

The direct deposit button is not showing on our Vendor additional info tab in QuickBooks. We are using the Enterprise Desktop Platinum Plus 2024 version. Any guidance as to resolving this issue is appreciated.

Vendor direct deposit issue

Thanks for sharing the screenshot of your Vendor profile, @mwgreen6. After this, let's ensure you can set up a Direct Deposit (DD) to your vendor.

To set up a DD for your vendor, they must be a registered 1099-independent contractor. Also, ensure that you sign in as a Company Admin. For the full instructions, read this article: Pay a contractor with direct deposit.

If your vendor isn't independent, sign up for QuickBooks Bill Pay as your payment service.

If the issue persists, let's update your payroll tax table because the outdated one can cause errors, just like you experienced. Here's how:

  1. Select Get Payroll Updates from the Employees tab.

  2. To know your tax table version:
    - Check the number next to You are using tax table version:
    - To identify if it's the correct version, visit the latest payroll news and updates.
    - Select Payroll Update Info to find more details on your tax table version.
  3. Pick Download Entire Update and click Update. Then, an informational window appears when the download is complete.

For more information, you can visit this article: Get the latest tax table update in QuickBooks Desktop Payroll.

Additionally, you can check out this article to learn about the different types of payroll contacts and to update them: Change your primary principal, payroll admin, or other payroll contacts.

If there's anything I can do for you regarding setting up your vendor as DD, please reply below. I'll be there to help. Keep safe, and enjoy the rest of the day.

When setting up direct deposit for your vendors, please ensure they are registered as 1099-independent contractors to ensure compliance with IRS regulations. If they're not registered yet, you can use QuickBooks Bill Pay as your payment method.
