both list this phone number as the number for the authorization center [removed]. However, when you call this number, it says "This phone line is no longer active." So what is the number that I call now to reach the authorization center for voice authorizations?

Let me share a few details about why we're unable to contact the Voice Authorization number provided in the article.
I see that you put a lot of effort into finding the Voice Authorization number. It could be that we've tried calling them during non-working hours. That's why we're getting a message that it's no longer active.
I would suggest contacting our payment support to get in touch with them successfully. They are the ones who can transfer you to Voice Authorization.
Due to COVID-19, we have limited support and reduced our support hours too. With that, let's make sure to check their work schedule when giving them a call. This is to make sure we address your concern on time. Go to the Merchant Services (Payments) to view the details.

The voice authorization is no longer active...AT ALL! There is no Quickbooks payment support for voice authorization...the recording on the (old) voice authorization number suggests you utilize online chat with an agent, which is only available at Quickbooks convenience, and the wait time to 'chat' with an agent is horrendous.
IS INTUIT PLANNING ON PATCHING ANYTHING THAT IS WRONG WITH THIS RELEASE? WHY DO YOU EVEN STILL HAVE THE VOICE AUTHORIZATION BUTTON IN THERE?
THIS SOFTWARE HAS A LOT OF ISSUES LIKE
YOU CANNOT PROCESS A REFUND TO A DEBIT CARD AT ALL
AND THE LANE 5000 TAP FEATURE IS AWFUL!!!!!!
HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE IN THE WORLD WE ARE IN?????
ARE YOU PLANNING TO PATCH ALL THE ISSUES WITH THIS SOFTWARE?

Since you are getting a lot of issues with your QuickBooks Payment account, I recommend contacting our Contact Payments or Point of Sale Support. They are available from Monday to Friday from 6 AM to 6 PM Pacific Time.
This way, they'll be able to investigate the cause of this issue and find the best resolution for you.
